Customer Reviews:
Hard to read typeface (font).......2007-10-19
I just got the book so I can't comment on the content but the typeface (font) the publisher picked for it is hard to read, too condensed and too light. For a book that needs serious reading, that is a real handicap, at least for those of us with tired old eyes.
Amazing book!!.......2007-09-19
I heard that it's sort of understood that this book is the best well-wriiten and well-descriptive book. It would be a good choice for anyone who is interested in the Future and Option's market.
A must read.......2007-07-07
If you are interested in Options you cannot miss this one. Once you've read that book, everything else you could read about options will look simple and too obvious. You'll also keep that book close to you and review some of its chapters on a regular basis.
Traders book........2007-05-14
I have many option and derivative books. This book concentrates on trading and not the calculus behind the models. I found it an easier book to follow.
Deep journey on options investement strategies.......2007-05-07
Excellent reference book for all serious traders who intend to invest in a deep conscious ways with options.

Book Description
This book thoroughly explains the options markets. Moreover, the work contains several unique features, including computer codes to calculate changes in options properties and a historic evaluation of options strategies and pricing theories. As a result, traders learn what works and what doesn't work. Specific features include: Exotic options; The factors influencing option pricing; Advanced trading strategies such as spreads and straddles; The importance of delta, gamma and theta; Risk management with options.
Customer Reviews:
A solid survey in Option Mechanics.......2000-06-12
Mr. Daigler's work, Advanced Options Trading, provides a sound overview of option pricing models and the variables that influence pricing for stocks, futures, and exotics. The model of focus is Black-Scholes, though I give Mr. Daigler credit for a renewed look at works by Cox, Rubenstein, and Ross. In addition to the sometimes-tedious theoretics of options, Daigler examines hedging techniques and arbitrage. Overall, a rigid yet unimaginative examination of derivatives, nothing surprising just reaffirming. Floor trading and market makers may find its presentation a pleasant refresher, otherwise look to McMillian or Sheldon Natenburg's works.

Customer Reviews:
marketing exercise.......2005-03-18
There are cheaper and better written books on the subject. In the last chapter, the author describes his business success, not in trading though, but in selling options software. The whole book is marketing tool for selling his product, with some option basics in between.
Waste of money.......2004-12-28
Dont waste your time with this book. No major insights, just rehashing of old stuff.

Dust off your Ph.d and Try to Decipher the Options Market.......2001-05-21
An executive I respect felt that this book by one of his old professors would give great insight to Foreign Currency Option Stategies. As more of a fundamental analyst than a technician I was mostly lost. I struggled through a master's and most of a doctorate, but statistics was always a pain. Beware that advanced mathematical underpinnings are crucial to the enjoyment of the book. For the amateur who wants to understand why rocket scientists (for real) are hired from Cal Poly and MIT to run Wall Street trading programs, we;;, just keep this book near your computer when you think your day trading will beat the pros.

Book Description
International in scope, Options Pricing provides experienced investors with the information they need to successfully buy or sell a broad range of financial or agricultural products. The book covers the latest valuation techniques, and offers readers explicit, up-to-the-minute information about various products, including those based on currencies, stock indexes, interest rates, warrants, oil, commodities, and more. It also features a unique chapter on the uses of options in corporate finance.
Customer Reviews:
Nice Introduction.......2000-05-04
This book provides a simple introduction to options pricing for readers with moderate technical skills. A basic background in statistics and calculus are all that is needed to get through the book. The ratio of text to equations is much higher than in most derivative texts. I find the intuitive explanations to be excellent. Another nice feature is a systematic explanation of different option types, i.e. stock options, interest rate options, options on futures etc.
If I ever taught an undergraduate course on options pricing I would probably use this as the text.
Overall this book offers an excellent introduction to options pricing. Very readable.

Book Description
An Interactive Guide to Technical Analysis is an electronic book that explains the subject of technical analysis using hundreds of visual popups and animations. The book contains simulations that provide the reader with a hands on experience of charting techniques and technical indicators. A useful tool for day traders, investors and financial professionals; and consists of six parts:
Basic Concepts - importance of trends, how to create and use charts, how to identify support and resistance levels.
Pattern Identification - how to identify patterns on price charts, how to use breakouts to give buy and sell signals, how to use filters to define valid breakouts and set target prices.
Technical Indicators - how to construct technical indicators that can give buy and sell signals, how the indicators behave in a variety of market conditions, how to interpret divergencies between prices and oscillators.
Japanese Candlesticks - how to read candlestick charts, how to identify candlestick patterns, how to interpret signals given by these patterns
Point and Figure Charts - how to construct and interpret point and figure charts, how to identify patterns on point and figure charts, how to use trading rules to create point and figure trading systems.
Trading Techniques - how various techniques can be combined to form trading systems, the risk/return trade-off involved in trading systems, practice trading techniques using real life data.
Customer Reviews:
A nice fun way of learning and applying technical analysis.......1999-05-18
I found the structure of this computer based guide to technical analysis to be very userfriendly and interactive. After learning about an indicator I could "see" how to use the indicator and even better than that I could tweak the parameters to perform my own technical analysis on provided data. A unique book worth it's price.
A very interactive approach to learning technical analysis.......1999-05-14
The main thing about this CDROM book is that it enables you to try your hand at the patterns and indicators as you read about them. The coverage of techniques and indicators is fairly wide, though somewhat thin at times. I like the use of pop up pictures in place of the lengthy text descriptions found in paper based books. It also has excellent quizzes with scenarios based questions -- which are very useful for building day trading skills. The dynamic visuals and interactive bits make this book more interesting than its paper based counterparts and worth the price.

Customer Reviews:
poor choice.......2001-01-05
Bartlett has written an uneven book that doesn't even provide true insights for the reader. (A caveat regarding this rewview but also the book: I chose not to waste my time finishing it, instead throwing it away when halfway through it.) A far better choice for those interested in reading about KKR is George Anders's "Merchants of Debt," if you can find a copy.
A must read for people interested in KKR........1998-07-10
A fascinating account of the history behind this powerful firm. Bartlett paints a far less flattering picture of KKR than "Barbarian's at the Gate".

Book Description
West Federal Taxation: Individual Income Taxes continues to set the standard in introductory tax. With its through, accessible coverage, no other text helps users better master the ever-changing Individual Tax Code. This text provides comprehensive and authoritative coverage of the relevant codes and regulations as they pertain to the individual taxpayer, as well as coverage of all major developments in federal taxation.
Customer Reviews:
Makes the mundane readable........2002-05-04
One of the better written tax textbooks. Will actually NOT put you to sleep when you read it. Easy to understand examples.
I'd rather read the Tax Code.......2001-12-21
This book was difficult to read, often wandering off on a tangent. I know the subject of taxes can be difficult but this text made topics that I was already familiar with seem confusing again. Each chapter has several examples, many of which were helpful. But many were also not clearly explained and a few made me wonder if the paragraph was truely finished. If you have a choice, pick up some tax software and a quickfinder guide to go with this class.
Great tax information.......2001-11-26
I am using this book in my Federal tax accounting class. I have more about taxes from this book than I have ever in my whole life. Great tax examples and many resources to solve each problem.
