Book Description

Recorded history is a finely-woven magic fabric of intricate lies about events predating the sixteenth century. There is not a single piece of evidence that can be reliably and independently traced back earlier than the eleventh century. This book details events that are substantiated by hard facts and logic, and validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient sources.

Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.

5 out of 5 stars Pants on fire?.......2007-07-19

Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.

5 out of 5 stars Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09

There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.

For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.

5 out of 5 stars Very Interesting.......2007-03-07

It is a good proposal and I believe it will mature into something even better in the future. I think it deserves to be read.

4 out of 5 stars History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10

Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.

I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.

Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.

Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.

I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.

This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.

Book Description

An award-winning sportswriter takes you inside a year with the nationÂ's top high school chess team.

With strict admission standards and a progressive curriculum, BrooklynÂ's Edward R. Murrow High School has long been one of New YorkÂ's public-education success stories, serving a diverse neighborhood of immigrants and minorities and ranking among the nationÂ's best high schools. At Murrow, there are no sports teams, and the closest thing to jocks are found on the schoolÂ's powerhouse chess team, which annually competes for the national championship.

In The Kings of New York sportswriter Michael Weinreb follows the members of the Murrow chess team through an entire season, from cash games in Washington Square Park to city and state tournaments to the SuperNationals in Nashville, where this eclectic bunch competes against private schoolers and suburbanites. Along the way, Weinreb brings to life a number of colorful characters: the Yale-educated calculus teacher (and former semipro hockey player) who guides the savants while struggling to find funding for his team; an aspiring rapper and tournament hustler who plays with cutthroat instinct; the teamÂ's lone girl, a shy Ukrainian immigrant; the Puerto Rican teen from the rough neighborhood of Bedford-Stuyvesant who plays an ingenious opening gambit named the Orangutan; and the Lithuanian immigrant and team star whose chess rating is climbing toward grandmaster status.

In the bestselling tradition of such books as Word Freak and Friday Night Lights, The Kings of New York is a riveting look inside the world of competitive chess and an inspiring profile of young genius.

4 out of 5 stars He Knows Them So Well.......2007-09-14

Like many other guys I got into chess via the smash Broadsway musical written by Tim Rice and the two fellows from ABBA.

The musical, for those of us lucky enough to see it several times, glamorized the international world of high stakes chess championships, and posed chess as a way to resolve international Cold War tensions between grand masters of warring nations, spawning such monster hits as "One Night in Bangkok" and "I Know Him So Well." In Harold Prince's innovative direction, the stage became a living chessboard, the rooks, knights and pawns constantly alert and on the move at the drop of a baton. Now along comes Michael Weinreb, a top New York-based sportswriter, who focuses in on the Brooklyn high school that does for chess what FAME did for the performing arts.

The results? Not so glamorous, but compelling. Weinrib examines the ways in which few native-born Americans are drawn to chess, while the newly immigrant and the poor see in the sport a parallel to the nomadism of their existences, shuttled from state to state like bishops being moved two spaces one way, one space to the side. The main boys he profiles come from a wide variety of foreign countries, and once they're here, they do their best to go American, wearing baggy jeans, oversized T-shirts, FUBU underwear and the like. Their teacher, himself a chess expert, is not above employing Murrow's own strategies (Edward R. Murrow, after whom the school is named, was himself not a bad amateur chess player) to allow his boys (and one girl) a liberal amount of freedom regarding their academic commitments that would be unheard of at most schools.

As Weinrib reports, some of them fall apart, and some of them manage to keep their eye on the prize. Not since Frances Parkinson Keyes' 1960 novel THE CHESS PLAYERS, which examined the sorry, doomed life of American grand master Paul Morphy (possibly the greatest chess player who ever lived) (19th century, New Orleans), have we been shown in such detail the uncensored lives of the teens obsessed with the sport--the gateway to the kingdom.

In some way, his book will disappoint those of us who know how to play chess, for it is more about what our lives look like from the outside. But in others, it's a wake up call. I don't consider myself a geek, an oddball, or a genius, but now I know what the world thinks of men like me, men who, inspired by a dream (with music by ABBA), got into something I don't have any control of any more. Those who go to Hurrow in furture generations (like actress Marisa Tomei and director Darren Aronofsky--cited by Weinrib as two prominent graduates of Murrow's equally impressive theater program for kids) will be tempted to join the chess club just to travel the world! With their concentration on musical theater and chess, it's a wonder Murrow has not apparently put on a student production of the famous chess musical! They could star the the beloved chess graduates profiled in this book, Sal, Oscar Santana, Willy, Alex and Ilya. Hey, give it a chance! Weinrib quotes an approving chess source, who says, "The word dynasty does not completely describe Edward R. Murrow High School's pre-eminence in high school chess: complete hegemony is more accurate."

3 out of 5 stars Great reviews, mediocre read.......2007-08-31

I read this on a long train ride, if I'd had anything else, I'd have read it.
I was just interested enough to keep reading and just bored enough to wish it would get more interesting.

embraces today's youth - now in chess!
so easy to read - thoughtful - hard to put down.
Thank you M. Weinreb

4 out of 5 stars Interested in the New York chess scene?.......2007-08-11

If you are a chess player or someone new to chess, you may be interested in what is going on in the New York chess scene.New York is by far the biggest and most productive chess center in the USA.New York youth chess programs set the standard and produce many junior chess champions. In this book you will be following the journey of one such junior chess team on their road to the championships, this is a very well written book. The critism I have is this- I don't like the author calling chess players geeks and oddballs. Michael Weinreb the author is clearly a novice chess player at best,by his many annoying errors of chess terms and concepts. He sometimes writes about meaningless details which I found annoying, like giving small details about the environments and the details of what his characters are wearing ,hence why I took off one star.I appreciated the fact that this author took at least a year or more following a group of high school chess players around the country and giving us a glimpse into why chess is so popular in New York.I hope this trend spreads throughout the USA and to California, where I am from.Overall this book is helpful in spreading the popularity of chess, the game which I love, to more and more people throughout the USA.For that I am grateful. The book does a great job in expressing the emotions and trials of this group of young players.I will never forget the characters in this book. It was a fascinating read, and I took me only 3 days to finish it.I really enjoyed reading it ,and highly recommend this great book! This would be a great book for a high school teacher to read with thier students.

3 out of 5 stars "Their lives have already been made much better".......2007-08-09

It is not often that I come across a book that has some great characteristics that make it excellent and others that seriously affect my enjoyment of the experience. This is one of those odd cases, because the portrayal of the kids and the gusto with which the author tells their personal stories is commendable. I can even risk going as far as saying that he comes close to the level of the best chess journalist I know, Dirk Jan ten Geuzendam. But then when Weinreb starts talking about the games and chess concepts, everything comes tumbling down in a never ending spiral of mistakes and confusion. This gave me an odd feeling, because I started reading and thinking that it was a pretty good read and that it probably deserved between 4 and 5 stars. Then the chess parts started and I downgraded it to 2 to 3. Next I came across another good part, involving the description of coaches and masters, and I thought that it was on the right track again, only to be beaten down once more. Finally, I had to settle for 3.5 stars.

Lets start with the good part. The story focuses on the chess team of Edward R. Murrow High School, which is an institution in Brooklyn that implemented an experimental program giving the students considerably freedom to choose how to approach their education. In this setting, Eliot Weiss decided to start a chess team. This team attracted kids with different personalities, all of which have characteristics that give the author enough material to display his narrative skills. We are presented with the personal stories of the kids, which includes two master level players and a bunch of good club players, as well as some rookies. It is enlightening to see how chess affects their lives, and how their personalities differ from the stereotype most people have about how a chess player behaves and lives. We also get a tour through some of the most important factors that affected chess in the US and its introduction in schools. Finally, the book delivers great information on some of the most relevant coaches and masters in the game, such as Bruce Pandolfini and Bobby Fischer.

If the author, who clearly is not a chess player, had decided to stop there the result would have been excellent. He could have even asked a master for help in presenting the games and some of the chess concepts used in the book. Sadly, this was not the case, and starting with a convoluted explanation of what a pin is, the missteps accumulate and detract from the overall quality of the book. The problem is that the explanations do not help those that are already familiar with the concepts and are not clear enough for a newcomer to understand them. On top of that, we have the mistakes: positions that are wrong, illegal opening moves (on several occasions) and butchering the name of an opening, to name a few. And finally, to make it even worse, there is the narration of some of the games, which is so poor that it is impossible to follow. There are so many references to queen sacrifices that it is hard to believe these are accurate.

Those that are interested in the story of these oddballs and do not care about the chess portions will have a most pleasant experience with this book. However, if you are looking forward to following the development of the games through the narration, you will find yourself extremely disappointed.

Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars excellent detail but incomplete.......2007-08-23

This book is written by several experts and is essentially a compilation of individual articles, each of which is outstanding in the detail of the direction given. However, for a person seeking to make a particular bow, all 3 books of the series are needed and there is not an orderly progression. Just count on buying all three, reading them all, making decisions based on what you've learned, and then picking chapters to help you as you go along.

5 out of 5 stars A great series of books for traditional archers.......2006-08-28

For those interested in making traditional bows these books come highly recommended. The instructions are simple enough for beginners, and detailed enough that experienced bowyers can learn several new techniques, a rare quality in many "how to" books. Explained very well are the theory's or why's behind the instruction.
This volume, # 2 explains bow construction from boards, recurve bows, composite bows, bow strings from natural and manufactured materials, bending wood, steel points, and quivers. Bows from ancient Europe, and the eastern woodlands are studied and explained in detail. Chapters written on hints, shortcuts, and shooting accuracy improvement are also very valueable. The chapter on board bows was worth the price of the book by itself, as I am unable to cut bow staves from trees.

A collection of craftsmen come together to demonstrate the building and dynamics of different woods into different types of bows. There are three books in the series Vols.: l, ll and lll they cover all aspects of wooden archery equipment from yew bows to flint arrow tips. Flat bows, decorations, strings and quivers etc. Fine archery to primitive.

5 out of 5 stars As it says on the cover.......2005-08-31

this book is vital to anyone wanting to make a traditional bow!
as it says on the cover"bowyers bible" started 2nd book already and cut myself some bowstaves too.
Only quible is that as an englishman who was born in portsmouth, one of the writers thought the mary rose sank near plymouth!?!?!
(it was portsmouth)but that has nothing to do with the bow making which is clear and concise. a must have book to go with my Hodgkins "archers craft"

4 out of 5 stars necessary for beginning bowyers.......2005-07-03

this book is essential for anyone who wants to make archery tackle out of natural materials. i still go to school and archery has taken hold of my interest. i spent hours on the computer scraping bits of information until i came upon this book online. after reading it through, all my problems were solved. this book has all the basics. from wood choosing to laying out your bow to designing practical bows from all kinds of woods. however, if you are in an area that has plenty of trees but are forbidden to cut it, then you are probably stuck with making board bows (which are cheap at 3.50 for an 11 ft piece) and for more info on board bows, then the 2nd vol. of this series is probably the best.
this book is a very good book for bowyers and got me started and i am still hooked (a year and three broken bows after. apparently the average bowmaker breaks 12 bows before making a good one :)

We bought this directly from Baseball America for years, but through Amazon it's cheaper and we received it quicker! Definitely the way to go.

3 out of 5 stars Great for planning baseball tours.......2007-03-21

This book is great if you are traveling to view as many baseball games as you can in a short amount of time. I have been buying copies of this book back to the late 1980's for just this reason. Back then, however, this book was about the only way to find out when a minor league team was playing and how to get to the stadium. Now, the internet gives you the same information much quicker and less expensively. The cost of the book has gone up sharply through the years, so I don't buy them as often anymore. But the old copies are still great for coming up with trivial facts, like the fact that the Yankees had the 14th largest home attendance in the majors in 1990.

Culminating a 25-year career, Jones hunted every North American species and subspecies with his .30-.06 rifle.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars One of my all time favorites.......2005-02-21

When I received this book I was surprised at its size. It is larger in format and thicker than you will expect, and given the high quality glossy stock on which it is printed, it's heavy.

Each chapter of the book covers another subspecies of huntable game in North America including the jaguar (which the author darts). Each chapter is broken into two parts. In the first part Dr. Jones discusses the game itself, describing its ecology and history. These sections are very informative without being dry or boring. In the second section of each chapter Dr. Jones describes his own personal hunt for the animal.

I found this book impossible to stop reading. My procedure was to read a chapter each night before bed. Unfortunately, this led to some late nights for me. Sometimes I wanted to read the next chapter so bad I stayed up another 45 minutes just to get it in!

You may never hunt musk ox, or Peary's caribou, or a desert bighorn or jaguar. But this book will make you feel like you were right there with Dr. Jones as he hunts these animals.

This is not a how to book. While there are recommendations of equipment, these hunts were all guided and Dr. Jones focuses more on describing the game and hunt itself and his experiences than he does in trying to teach the reader how to hunt a particular animal.

This is superior piece of work. You will not regret buying it, even though you may lose a little sleep.

5 out of 5 stars Model book for future hunting literature.......2002-11-27

If you happen to like books which are impossible to quit reading, this is one you must buy. However, being a large, well designed book mandates caution - other responisiblities will be easily forgotten in the Dr. Jones' writing and wonderful color photos.

My personal hunting library has grown over the years, and now number well over 200 titles. Dr. Jones' volume deserves to be recommended reading for every big game hunter, regardless of his personal aspirations or abilities, a distinction shared by few hunting books. However, the incorporation of a modified "peer-review" process in the development of this book is essentially unprecendented in the hunting literature. By utilizing this process and the input of several experts, J.Y.'s book is becomes the most authoritive book on NA big game. More importantly, he has established a model which should be closely followed by outdoor writers everywhere. I hope this proves to be the legacy of this book.

5 out of 5 stars a HUNTING book.......2002-07-30

This book is truly a hunting book.
For those who would like to know what type of hunting situation you'd encounter in north America than this book is for you.
It doesn't discuss guns and other equipment in detail, but that's exactly what make this book a HUNTING book.

This book contains the most up-to-date information and is highly accurate. It does, however, suffer from a poorly organized format. Some authors cover the same information, while other important topics fall between the cracks. I would have liked to see the same organizational structure used for all 3 "types" of deer

Book Description

Many archers and bowhunters will be surprised to learn that a wooden bow, whose ancestry dates back thousands of years, will shoot an arrow as fast and as effectively as the most modern fiberglass-laminated bows. Never before have such detailed instructions been available for the home craftsman, with information on how to make fine bows and arrows from natural materials. The authors thoroughly explain every facet of the process, from choosing wood to applying finishes, making construction easy even for the first-time bowyer.

With combined experience totaling over a century, the authors have constructed over thousands of bows. Now they reveal their secrets and techniques in The Traditional Bowyer's Bible series, three essential volumes filled with history, humor, and practical advice - invaluable information for anyone interested in the age-old lure of archery.

Volume Three covers tools, Korean and African archery, bows of the Plains Indians, custom shafts, stone points, and much more.

5 out of 5 stars Great Book........2006-10-25

This volume is very explicative and not lost any details of his points. All the volumes makes a great help, and even a single powerfull source of information, to anyone who want to make the finest traditional bows, i recomend !

5 out of 5 stars A highly recommended finish for a great series of books.......2006-08-28

This final volume ( # 3 ) of this series has very useful instructional information concerning bow making tools, take down ( two piece ) bows, stone age bows, stone points ( knapping ), and making arrows. Bow designs from many cultures around the world are examined and explained in detail.
The tools mentioned range from simple hand tools, such as the wood rasp, to power tools, like the band saw. Power tools are not needed to make these bows, but can save time.
Properly made arrows are a very important part of archery gear, and this voulme shows how they are made correctly and safely using a variety of woods and fletchings.
Other chapters explain bow designs such as the asymetrical yumi bow from Japan, the materials for composite bows of Korea, and the hole nocks from some African bows.

3 out of 5 stars Excellent book.......2006-08-15

This was a very excellent book and I ordered the other 2 vol.
These also were very very good. I have enjoyed them very much.
They would be a very good addition to any boyers library.
Very good prices also.

4 out of 5 stars Very in depth and detailed.......2004-03-29

This book was excellent for outlining the process of making bows. Each section of the book is dedicated to a different area of bow making, and therefore was able to cover a substantial amount of ground. This book does require an advanced knowledge of bows and archery.

4 out of 5 stars Great recaps & retrospectives of the first XXIV games!.......2001-11-12

Although 11 games out of date as of my writing this, THE SUPER BOWL is one of the best publications about "The Great American Time-Out" I've ever flipped through. Featuring a foreword by the late NFL commissioner Pete Rozelle discussing his great and not-so-great Super Bowl memories, this heavy hardcover coffee-table monster gives the reader some pretty good views (both in pictures and text) of the country's biggest sporting event.

Each contest includes a foldout page featuring all of the players' names in the starting lineups & substitutions, all of the offensive, defensive & special teams stats, and every single play that was made. On the reverse side of each foldout is a painting or other illustration relating to its respective game. The article for each game, about ten pages in length, goes into the backstory of the teams that competed and some of the more colorful moments leading up to the big dance, as well as the highlights (and lowlights) of the game itself.

Although I'm a 49ers & Redskins follower, I found the two Steeler-Cowboys contests, X & XIII, to be the most interesting write-ups. They were two teams that apparently were polar opposites (at least from the text I read here), and couldn't stand each other. Plenty of trash-talking and genuine disgust abound. This enmity made for a couple of the most hard-fought championships in pro football. They were full of great moments like Thomas 'Hollywood' Henderson's shocking game-opening reverse/ kickoff return & Lynn Swann's amazing catch in X, and not-so-great moments like Dallas TE Jackie Smith's drop of a "sure-thing" Cowboys touchdown and a controversial pass-interference call in XIII.

But, there's also plenty of other notable moments in this book. Vince Lombardi's legend, Joe Namath's guarantee, Garo's gaffe capping the only undefeated season in league history, the Niners' drive to victory, the rise of the Steeler & 49er dynasties, the sad performances of four-time losers Minnesota & Denver, and more are mentioned and recapped in good detail.

The appendix features Super Bowl team & individual records, and composite standings. Of course, due this publication being over a decade old, many of the records no longer stand. Also included is the all-time Super Bowl roster of every player that set foot on the field or warmed the bench in each of the first XXIV contests. All in all, a wonderful compendium of Super Bowl stats and information-well, at least for the time it was published, anyway.

Sadly, although I found this volume to be very enjoyable, the dust jacket isn't very durable. I had to tape the corners and edges of the jacket a few months after I bought it to curtail further disintegration. Other than that, I'm hoping the publishers will see fit to produce an new, updated edition one of these years. Unfortunately, I doubt it'll happen any time soon. More than likely, they'll wait until the 50th anniversary (that's Super Bowl L to the Roman-numerically-declined out there) to put out a new one. Guess I'll just have to sit tight 'til then...
