Really Impressive guidebook.......2007-04-09

This is the very best guide to Minnesota that I've found! It has loads of detail for everyone - whether you're coming for the the culture, the man-made sights or the natural beauty. The recommendations are extremely helpful in planning a trip. This is the second Moon guide that I've purchased (their Peru guide is the best I've found on that area also) and I'm impressed by their thoroughness and knowledge. They're not as well known as other guides, but they sure know their stuff!

Informative, unique - and fun to read.......2005-08-03

This is the first Moon guide we are using, and definitely not the last.
We went on an 11-day vacation in Minnesota, and this book turned out to be an irreplaceable companion.
Not only did it point out the usual got-to-see places, but also gave many little tips about unique places and things to see and experience (such as the Mohair goat farm or the "Rhythm of The Rails" show), which made the best moments of our trip.
We also loved its sense of humor, which made it also fun to read (as opposed to your typical laconic-written travel guides).
Highly recommended.

I wondered when Moon would get around to covering Minnesota. Like all Moon guides I've used, this is as close to complete coverage of Minnesota as you could hope for from a guiebook. It's got all the obvious stuff but a lot of off the beaten path places too.

This book is must read for those working in the miniaturization of fuel cells. Fuel cells have been around for a long time. To fabricate them using microelectronics manufacturing method is new and very interesting. This book offers excellent insight and many helpful tips. Both editors are insiders of microelectronics and their venture into the fuel cell field proved to be helpful for both fuel cell and microelectronics people.

Among all the books which I have come across about SPICE, this is about the best book you can find. Similar to any analog circuit design, setting all the optional parameters appropriately is always a game of trade-off among simulation speed, accuracy, and stability. I came across this book while I was working on a crystal oscillator. It has done a decent job in explaining the intricate spice parameters, such as timestep control options and numeric integration methods, without asking the reader to first become a mathematician. Nevertheless, finishing this book does not mean you will be able to solve all the convergence problems. In my opinion, the best approach to understanding spice is to experiment with the settings frequently to gain a true feeling of how they interact. I give it 4 stars because there are a lot of repeititions in the book, meaning that the author would often repeat a point using different sentences. If there is an important concept, state it once or twice, but not three or four times... The repetitive sentences gave me the feeling that he was worried the book might turn out to be too short. Having said that, I still recommend this book to any circuit designer who really desires to make their transient sims fast and accurate.

This is an excellent book.......1998-11-14

This book is a must if you plan on doing any serious work with spice. It focus on the convergence of simulation rather than the circuit. So if you are looking for an introductory book, this one might be a bit too heavy. However, I like the CD rom, which includes RSpice and Rgraph. There seems to be no restriction in terms of number of devices used.

Over all, this is a very good book for engineers in practice.
