Book Description
Recorded history is a finely-woven magic fabric of intricate lies about events predating the sixteenth century. There is not a single piece of evidence that can be reliably and independently traced back earlier than the eleventh century. This book details events that are substantiated by hard facts and logic, and validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient sources.

Calculations are only as good as your numbers.......2007-08-03
Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.
Pants on fire?.......2007-07-19
Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.
Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09
There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.
For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.
Very Interesting.......2007-03-07
It is a good proposal and I believe it will mature into something even better in the future. I think it deserves to be read.
History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10
Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.
I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.
Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.
Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.
I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.
This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.
Product Description
Scholastic Books and Taggies, Inc. have joined together to create this finely crafted soft cover book entitled "My First Taggies® Book: Sweet Dreams". A soft fleece cover and beautifully embroidered interior spreads offer a unique opportunity for learning while snuggling! Featuring our Taggie tags that kids love to play with! This is already one of the UK's most popular soft books and it even washes clean! Measures 15cm square.
Amazon.com
Modeled after the popular Taggies baby blankets, My First Taggies Book is a soft fleece picture book with eight different looped ribbon tags to rub and pull and chew. The content of the book is very simple: three two-page spreads featuring a plush kitty, bunny, and puppy, along with accompanying rhymes. "Sweet dreams, little kitty,/ Rock-a-bye and nighty night." The point here is not the plot line, but the delightfully cuddly feel of the book and the interactive tags. Designed to be tactile and visually stimulating, each tag has a different print or texture, much like the satin edges of blankets or clothing labels that so intrigue babies and toddlers. A gentle and safe way to introduce the very youngest "readers" to the world of books. (Baby to preschool) --Emilie Coulter
Customer Reviews:
NIce book........2007-10-12
I thought this would be a great book but was disapointed. The tags don't have any texture on them so my sone doesn't really care about it.
Baby Loves Taggies Book.......2006-11-10
My six-month-old loves her Taggies Book. (She received it when she was four months old.) Now, she likes to hold it and rub the tags. It is perfect size to lay across her lap while she is in her car seat. Very nice.
My son loves those little tags.......2006-11-04
When my son first got the book, he was absolutely fascinated with the tags. He also loves to feel the velvety pictures. And it's also one of the first books I began reading to him.
Perfect for bedtime.......2005-08-25
This is a wonderful book that my nine-month-old has enjoyed since we received it as a gift when he was 2 months old. I don't understand the other reviews that say "it isn't much of a story". "Sweet Dreams", as the title implies, is a bedtime book. And it is perfect for that. Short, simple, engaging but not exciting, it is oh-so-soft and very comforting. My son loves it. He touches each animal ("kitty", "bunny", & "puppy") as we read, and I even stroke his face with the book once at the end as a final soother. It is the second of the two books we read at bedtime, the first being Baby Animals, which is a more active "Tough & Feel" book, but a good transition from active to night-night. I highly recommend Sweet Dreams for anyone looking for a comforting quiet book for bedtime reading with their baby. At nine-months, he seems far from outgrowing it; we will enjoy this book for some time to come.
An update at 13 months: still a wonderful way to go to bed. He can be teething or excited or anything other than sleepy. But when we start this book, he settles right down and gets snuggly and sleepy. After all, kitty, bunny and puppy are asleep in their beds, so it must be a good idea!
A perfect gift for your newest adopted family member.......2005-04-04
I think this is a perfect gift for any baby shower or new addition to your family. Especially for those who are adopting a child International like we did. We wheren't sure how much stimulation our daughter received in her Social Welfare Institute in China and so we brought this colorful book along. The book is a soft flannel and each tag is has a different color and texture and what child doesn't like tags of any sort. If you find this book in the book store or sometimes in a gift shop you can choose the colored tags and textures, for each one is different.
As a reading book, this is not and I am not really sure that's what this book was intended to be. I think this book is for stimulation of your babies sences. Can't say enough about this book and the taggie blanket, you just can't go wrong bringing to a baby shower on as one of the items packed in your already full bag on your way to be united with your daughters and or sons!

awesome book, awesome lesson.......2005-12-28
the illustrations are what got me interested in this book when I got it from a book club as a kid. It teaches a good lesson about money and how to not act spoiled, and the idea that money should not make you greedy
Trouble with Money.......2005-12-10
I like this book because it showed me not to spend all the money i receive for special occassions on things that i may not need but i want very badly. It showed me that i need to be very careful with money and that spending it on everything isn't always a good choice.

Still great after all these years!.......2007-02-01
I read them as a child and now my children read them. I will continue to add more to our colection!
I grew up with the Berenstain Bears, and now my sons are.......2003-03-29
I never realized when I was little that the Berenstain Bear books were teaching me lessons (although I do remember reading the messt room one and the bad dream one quite often). We went to visit my husband's famil and his MUCH younger sister (7) was reading her Berenstain Bear books. This made me nostlagic for when I used to read them, so I bought some for my son the next time we went to the bookstore. However he was six months old and too young to really need to learn any of the many lessons available. This one however and The Berenstain Bears Count Their Blessings seemed to me to be timeless lessons that can be learned from a very young age, since I believe in these princilpes strongly. He loves them and I have realized how much we ALL can learn from the Berenstain Bears, if nothing else a good way as parents to handle situations. Since then, we have bought him the holiday books for the coresponding holiday, books for birthdays and Christmas, and books to help him deal with a baby brother. He loves books, and always thinks it's a treat to read his Berenstain Bears books!
Berenstains on target with this book.......2000-10-04
We are all familiar with the Berenstain Bears, their many adventures, and the lessons they have taught young readers for over 30 years. However, The Berenstain Bears Think of Those in Need is more timely than ever and one of the best books to be written by Stan and Jan in recent years. It seems that society is more materialistic than ever, and people especially in the United States have more "stuff" than they know what to do with. Perhaps the most spoiled are our children, surrounded with toys, games, computers, clothes, and more than they could ever need throughout a lifetime. This book gives children (and their parents!) a wonderful example by making the point that even though things are good for many of us, not everybody is as well off. It seems that the Berenstain Bears have taught almost every imaginable lesson regarding good behavior at home, but now we are seeing a wonderful example of social conscience/responsibility. Especially in Bear Country it may be hard to imagine anything bad ever happening, but the Bear Family reminds us that there are always people to help, and the things we don't need can always be used by others.

"The room shared by Brother and Sister is a mess because the cubs argue over who should neaten up instead of working together. Sure to make toddlers smile while they absorb an implied lesson."--Publishers Weekly.
Customer Reviews:
the original "Mission Organization".......2007-07-16
The first time I saw this book my younger sister and I had pushed our poor mom to the limits with our messy room. Dolls, costumes, arts & crafts projects and so much more covered every surface of the room to the point we were barely able to find our beds. One day while we out were playing with the neighborhood kids, after breaking our promise we would clean the room first, my mom went in with big black garbage bags and packed up the entire mess and put the bags in the spare room. When we got home and discovered the "theft" we were livid. After she calmed us down and gave me my favorite teddy and my sister her favorite bunny, she sat us down with this book and we read it together. Gradually we got all our toys and other stuff back and the room actually did stay clean much longer than usual. She never had to take drastic action again because she would just pull out this book whenever the room started looking overly cluttered and we'd get the picture. Now twenty years later, I'm almost obsessively neat and organized (though sometimes it's fun to make a huge mess in the process of reorganizing) and I remember this book fondly every time I undertake a big organizing project. I'm sure it's not the only children's book about cleaning a messy room, but the Berenstain humor and memorable artwork make it a classic.
Scientific Facts not Accurate.......2007-02-07
I enjoyed this book (and others in the series) with my three girls when they were little who all are now twenty-somethings.
As a geologist, it was grating to see dinosaur model toys being referred to as being from the Pleistocene!! (the age of woolly mammoths, sabre-tooth tigers, dire wolfs etc.)
We wrote a letter to the Berenstains and got a cute letter reply from Papa Bear. He said they would correct the mistake in the next printing. OK, that was well over 20 years ago, and the book is still the same. Sigh! And people lament that our children are uninformed about science.
Now that my youngest daughter is about to get a teaching credential to teach science in elementary and middle school, maybe it's time for her to write another letter.
Another great story from the "Bears".......2007-01-03
My 4-yr old daughter has enjoyed the shows and stories involving the Berenstein Bears & this one is just as fun. The story covers the importance of a neat room but throws in some humor during the "pick-up" or cleaning periods involving the entire family. A great short read for little ones who are just learning the importance of cleaning up after themselves. Enjoy.
Very useful book.......2005-12-29
This is a great book to teach kids to clean up after themselves and what happens when they don't. In this book, mama gets so fed up with the mess in the cubs' room, that she comes back with a huge box and starts tossing all their things into it. Much at the cubs' protest, all their favorite toys are tossed inside. The illustrations are just wonderful in this book. They show a puzzle half finished and covered with cobwebs, spilled cups and drinks and dust and dirt all over everything. It's just very clear how nasty a room can get when it's not kept in order. Papa bear comes to the rescue and makes the cubs their very own organization center (must have watched HGTV out there in his garage where he makes his furniture!) where they have a toybox and a pegboard to store the items in the room. And, he makes boxes with labels to stack in their closet for their smaller items so they don't come tumbling out onto their heads anymore.
Everyone is very happy with the solution, especially the cubs since now they have a room they can enjoy themselves and with their friends.
Highly recommend!
I loved this book.......2005-12-28
I loved this book as a kid but unfortunately I could never live up to it and am the biggest slob ever and I'm in my 20's

Book Description
The first "manned" hot-air balloon is about to take off! But what are those noises coming from the basket?
Based on the (POSSIBLY) true report of a day in 1783, this si the story of (PERHAPS) the bravest collection of flyers the world has ever seen, as (SORT OF) told to Marjorie Priceman.
Customer Reviews:
Fun to Read!.......2007-09-04
This book has a great story line with a sense of humor. Young kids love to hear me read it when I visit their classrooms.
I recommend you buy it as one of the books your primary grade kids will fight over.
My son enjoys this.......2007-05-12
This book wasn't what I had imagined it to be. The first several pages contain a lot of words, and the last several pages are just pictures. My 6 year old son really enjoys this book, though, and asks for it at night.
Barnyard Animals Aloft.......2006-01-31
Starting with the historical facts of the first hot-air balloon ride, which took place in Versailles, France in 1783, Priceman lets her imagination - and illustrations - run wild. The first hot-air balloon aviators (i.e., the guinea pigs) were a sheep, a duck and a rooster. After a few introductory pages of text, Priceman depicts the flight with a series of wordless illustrations. The complex pictures lend themselves to careful inspection to catch all the elements of the story. In the end, our barnyard aviators land safely, which I hope this is one of the true facts of this story. 2006 Caldecott Honor Book.
Congratulations on your 2nd Caldecott Award!!!.......2006-01-27
I love this book and my children love it more. The story is hilariously told through the beautiful illustrations. The Caldecott committee made an excellent choice. This book would appeal to children of all ages.
Stratospherically Sublime.......2006-01-27
In Hot Air: The (Mostly) True Story of the First Hot-Air Balloon Ride, author and illustrator Marjorie Priceman shows once again why reviewers have christened her "the master of whimsy." Recounting the Montgolfiers 1783 test run of their balloon and imagining, with postmodern verve, the story of the duck, sheep, and rooster who formed the first flight crew, Priceman's narrative is sure to delight both young readers and parents alike. (Reassurance: no animals were harmed in the telling of this Enlightenment-era tale). But the illustrations are the real treasure here (and the Caldecott committee concurs). While infused with the same spirited energy as her earlier books--How to Make an Apple Pie and See the World, Zin! Zin! Zin! A Violin, Emeline at the Circus--the panels in Hot Air glow with a luminosity that outshines even Priceman's earlier work.

Book Description
Who's to blame? That's what everyone always wants to know. But the kernal of wisdom at the heart of this latest First Time Book is who really cares? Because -- let's face it -- there's always enough blame to go around. What matters is how we work together to fix the problem.
Customer Reviews:
Great basis for a family conversation.......2007-09-12
We love the Berenstain Bears in our household. We have 2 girls who are 2 years apart and starting the "blame game" and we found this book helpful. We'll read it with the girls and then discuss it. There are times when we just read it to keep the story fresh in their minds. I found it to be helpful to me also, it's a good reminder that yelling and shouting don't solve the problem at hand and to focus on a solution together is a more productive solution.
Great book to teach kids about blame.......2005-12-29
This one should definitely be in every library! It's wonderful about teaching kids (and adults) that when things happen, there's always enough blame to go around to isolating one individual is usually not the best so, just chip in and help clean up the mess or fix the problem. Fantastic message - definitely helps with the "she did it" or "he did its" and promotes teamwork in helping to solve whatever problem occurred. Highly recommend!
The Berenstain Bears and The Blame Game.......2003-10-01
In the Book called" The Berenstain Bears and the blame Game", there is a family of four, Brother Bear, Sister Bear, Mama Bear and Papa Bear. Mama Bear is usually friendly and kind, but now her house has turned into a never-ending blame game. " Its her fault, No its his fault", is what Brother and Sister Bear say. First they break a vase with roses that Mama Bear just put there that morning. Who knows what they will break next. This book teaches kids that fighting is no use. Instead of fighting they should get to work and solve the problem.
I recommend this book for kids around 8.
This book was good. I think you should get it for your kids, because it helps them with things that happen in the world.
STOP THE GAME OF BLAME AND SHAME.......2000-05-22
Once again, the peace and serenity of Bear Country is shattered by the boisterous exchange between Brother and Sister Bear. Even the usually patient Mama Bear could not help but blow her top off. Papa Bear comes to the rescue by showing the way. He puts things right by getting Brother, Sister and even Mama Bear to chip in and help.
By reading this story to my sons, they saw themselves in similar situations and decided for themselves that the more time spent on righting wrongs and the less time spent on the blaming game could go a long way in promoting a loving, healthy and harmonious family relationship.
Without being preachy, this book is a good read and teaches family values at the same time.

Your child will learn how dogs are fun to play with, and how some things aren't quite as scary as they might first appear.
The colorful, warm drawings have endured through the years, and will help bring a smile to your face.
I fully recommend "Go Away, Dog."

My "most favorite book".......2002-05-28
I have the original version (1963) and mine has the following inscription written by my mother:
"This was a library book I checked out for Lisa when she was 4 and 1/2 years old. She loved it so much she kept putting off taking it back and one day 'could never find it again'. Later, she told me she hid it and by then I had paid the library for it. Her most favorite book then and for a long time."
I cherish my copy of Go Away Dog and am buying the new version for good friend's baby shower.
