Perhaps the perfect children's bedtime book, Goodnight Moon is a short poem of goodnight wishes from a young rabbit preparing for--or attempting to postpone--his own slumber. He says goodnight to every object in sight and within earshot, including the "quiet old lady whispering hush." Clement Hurd's illustrations are simple and effective, alternating between small ink drawings and wide, brightly colored views of the little rabbit's room.
Finding all of the items mentioned throughout the book within the pictures is a good bedtime activity--a reappearing little mouse is particularly pesky. By the end of the little rabbit's goodnight poem, the story has quieted to a whisper, and the drawings have darkened with nightfall. As you turn the last page, you can expect a sleepy smile and at least a yawn or two. (Picture book)
Book Description
In a great green room, tucked away in bed, is a little bunny. "Goodnight room, goodnight moon." And to all the familiar things in the softly lit room--to the picture of the three little bears sitting in chairs, to the clocks and his socks, to the mittens and the kittens, to everything one by one--he says goodnight.
In this classic of modern children's literature, beloved by generations of readers and listeners, the quiet poetry of the words and the gentle, lulling illustrations combine to make a perfect book for the end of the day.
Customer Reviews:
A surprise hit! I also highly recommend the Goodnight Moon DVD... .......2007-10-14
This seemingly simple book is my son's absolute favorite! I had no idea it would be such a hit, now I know why its a classic.
The illustrations are very simple and seem old fashion compared to most newer books out there. The colors you see on the cover and all the colors in the bookk, it alternates between color and black & white pages, and yet... its adored by my 17 month son.
He roars "balloon!" and points to the drawing of the red balloon and also says 'chairs', 'mush' and 'hush'. He just loves it and I often see him flipping thru the book on his own.
We have the lapbook edition with is also a boardbook but much bigger, however I would recommend this version.
The Lap book is difficult for him to pick up and 'read' by himself and has gotten very bent up because of his laying on one side while trying to read the opposite page. Also the lap version is too big to throw in the diaper bag.
I also recommend purchasing (or recording if you have HBO) the HBO special on DVD "Goodnight Moon and Other Sleepytime Tales".
Goodnight Moon and Other Sleepytime Tales
My son saw this after we bought the book and it was so neat to see him run and get his book, making the connection between the book and the visuals in the dvd.
The dvd is completely wonderful in its own right. It features Susan Sarandon telling the story twice, in the beginning and the end of the dvd. She is an excellent narrator. :)
The goodnight moon graphics are the exact same as the book but are animated a little bit.
It also features Tony Bennet singing Dreamland, Lauren Hill singing Hush Little Baby, Natalie Cole, Aaron Neville and my son's favorite song on the dvd, Twinkle Tinkle Little Star sung by Patty LaBelle. My son says 'tinkle!' whene he knows its coming and actually sings along! The visuals are gorgeous of a little girl playing among the stars.
Over all the dvd is very soothing, my son watches/listens to it after his dinner as a wind down and before we read him the Goodnight Moon book and tuck him into his crib. :) Buy this book and also buy the dvd, your child will love them both.
A Classic!.......2007-09-30
I give this book as a baby shower gift or a birthday gift to my friends' kids who are 5 and under. It's a sure favorite.
Best bedtime book ever!.......2007-09-28
I first had this book read to me at a public library when I was 4. I never owned it growing up, but I would borrow it and force my parents to read it to me.
I bought this book for my dear friend who is about to give birth as I write this for her little one. I think it is an integral part of the bedtime routine and it can be fun to have your child say goodnight to their room as well.
Classic........2007-09-24
This book is a classic and my daughter has enjoyed it for many months. She is now old enough to point out the cats and mouse etc and the story is a darling one. We have bought this book many times for family and friends.
Classic Favorite!.......2007-09-17
I have read this book to my baby nearly every night since she was born. I was using an old paperback copy I had, but my 7 month old wants to turn the pages herself. So glad it's available as a board book. It's a timeless classic and a favorite.

For a little one who is reluctant to go to bed, sometimes a silly book is just the ticket. And when it comes to silly books, Sandra Boynton is the undisputed queen. In The Going to Bed Book, an ark full of animals watches the sun go down and then prepares for bed. They take a bath ("in one big tub"), find pajamas, brush their teeth, do exercises up on deck (imagine an elephant jumping rope, a moose lifting weights, and a pig doing handstands), and finally say good night.
The moon is high. The sea is deep.
They rock
and rock
and rock
to sleep.
Boynton's inimitable animal characters have graced the pages of scads of picture books over the years. She has an extraordinary knack for knowing what appeals to small children: simple rhymes, goofy animals in goofy settings, and sweet, comforting stories. This book, along with her many other board-book titles (Moo, Baa, La La La!, But Not the Hippopotamus, and others) will surely remain a favorite. (Baby to preschool) --Emilie Coulter
Book Description

Customer Reviews:
Cute but too short.......2007-10-10
I am forever searching for bedtime books because we rotate them out at night and it is always good to find new ones. I was really excited by reading the reviews of this one as we are big fans of Boynton. It is a cute book, but I think it is too short. Perhaps my daughter just likes to have a little more time reading before going to bed but I really wish it was just a few pages longer like some of her others.
a great book!.......2007-10-02
my daughter loves this book! we used to read a different story each night, but we have been stuck on this book for a couple of months, now. the story is fun and the pictures are bright, cute and great for kids to look at. it is the perfect length and works great for our night time reading ritual.
Delightful!.......2007-09-19
This book is utterly delightful! I bought it 3 years ago for my youngest son and it was hands down his favorite book. We read it so much that we still recite it by heart. Sandra Boynton has a way of writing books that not only delight the child, but it's infectious! (My little 1 year old daughter who is fascinated by belly buttons- also adores The Belly Button Book by the same author.) The Going To Bed Book is an absolute must for snuggly, silly bedtime routines (that actually are looked forward to!) with your little ones. It sits right next to another old favorite of ours...Goodnight Moon. =0)
No more tears at bedtime!.......2007-09-18
Send you child to bed laughing for a change, with this wonderful, fun-filled, silly, bedtime book! Great for baby sitters, too! Author/Illustrator
All Time Favorite Board Book.......2007-09-11
My kids and I love this book. We all have it memorized now after reading it for so many years, now we just quote it together for memory. I love to give this as a baby present.

On the Night You Were Born is a beautiful and poignant celebration of the birthand worthof every child. Destined to become an enduring classic.
Customer Reviews:
A lovely, adoption-friendly book........2007-09-15
I first heard this book at the Mother's Day Tea at my daughter's preschool. When I heard the title, my stomach clenched. Because my daughter is adopted, her birth is an event I had no part in. I initially thought that the selection was a little thoughtless.
I should have had more faith in my daughter's wonderful teacher. As "Miss Ro" read the book, I realized that the story was about the birth of a child is a gift to the world of nature (not to her parents and family as most books treat it). I have since given this book to other new children in my world, and consider it one of the loveliest, most magical books I have read. Every child should feel as though her/his birth has impacted the whole world, as this book suggests.
This book is an excellent addition to any pro-adoption collection.
Beautiful Book.......2007-09-11
This book is so beautifully written and the illustrations were fabulous. It is just as much for adults as it is children. Would make a great baby gift.
Fabulous!.......2007-08-23
This is a beautifully written story explaining the special significance of each child...I cried just reading the first page! I originally bought this for my newborn nephew on the recommendation of a friend and upon reading it instantly ordered several more to keep on hand for gifts.
If you could only buy 1 book for your child, this is it!.......2007-08-23
The minute I first read this book, I knew I had to get a copy for each of my children. Certainly, I would have liked to get it when they were infants, but it hadn't been written. And the feelings their entrances into my life were no less miraculous now than at their births, so I ordered a copy for each of my children, now ages 38, 39 and 40.
On the night you were born".......2007-08-23
I gave this to a little one on her 4th birthday and her Dad was the first to read it ... I looked over and he was crying so hard ... it's a beautiful book and also great gift for new babies ...

"Good night, Gorilla," says the weary watchman as he walks by the gorilla cage on his nightly rounds at the zoo. The gorilla answers by quietly pickpocketing the guard's keys, stealthily trailing him, and unlocking the cages of every animal the oblivious fellow bids goodnight to. Looking much like an exhausted father, the uniformed guard traipses home toward his cottage, while the lonely zoo animals softly parade behind him. The animals manage to slip into his bedroom and nestle unnoticed near his sleepy wife--until the bold little gorilla goes so far as to snuggle up beside her as she turns out the light. Author and illustrator Peggy Rathmann (creator of the Caldecott-winning Officer Buckle and Gloria) relies more on the nuances of her jewel-toned pictures than on words to pace this giggly bedtime story, making it perfect for observant preschoolers. In one inky-black spread, Rathmann lets only the shocked, wide-open eyes of the guard's wife tell us that the gorilla has been detected! Tiny details such as the faithful, banana-toting mouse and sky-bound pink balloon that appear in each picture keep this book fresh, magical, and fun--even after countless bedtime readings. (Baby to preschool) --Gail Hudson
Book Description
Good Night, Gorilla won the 1994 Cuffie for "Most Likely to Succeed in Years Ahead" and has more than lived up to that prediction, becoming a modern classic that is a must in every child's library.
This perfect package will give kids the opportunity to cuddle up with an adorable plush gorilla while they are enjoying his secret bedtime antics.
Customer Reviews:
Beautifully illustrated..........2007-10-12
This is a great board-book for kids between 1 and 5. The illustrations are beautiful, and get my kids to "think" about all that they can see. This book is one of my daughter's favorites - she'd crack up with laughter when the lights went out and the animals said goodnight. A thoroughly enjoyable read.
Don't get the Picture Puffin Books (Sagebrush) edition.......2007-09-29
This is a great story book. The 5 stars is for that.
I bought three editions for different kids: Good Night, Gorilla (Picture Puffin Books (Sagebrush)), Good Night, Gorilla, and Good Night, Gorilla (oversized board book). The Puffin edition is bound in a way that makes it difficult to open flat. The paper is thinner than most good hardcover children's books. The two board book editions are very nice. You also might want to try the regular hardcover edition.
A Must For Your Child's Library.......2007-09-17
Goodnight, Gorilla is a delightful book, filled with fun, secrets and anticipation. We started reading it at age 2 and my now 6 year old son still enjoys it! We especially love the dark page with eyes....you will too! It is the perfect companion to '10 Minutes Till Bedtime', also by Peggy Rathmann, because this cast of characters appear in that book as next door neighbors! Together they make a perfect child/baby gift. Thanks Peggy Rathmann!
My Daughter's (and Our) Favorite.......2007-07-23
We received this book as a gift after our daughter's birth, and now that she's ten months old, it's her absolute favorite. She actually goes to her book basket, digs through the all of the books to find this one, and then brings it to us to read to her. The best part is that because the narrative is told through the pictures instead of through words, it's a different book when I read it to her than when her father, grandmother, etc. does. I'm sure that as she gets older, we'll be able to modify our reading of Good Night, Gorilla to suit her age, pointing out different things about the story than interest her now. This book is destined to be a classic!
GREAT BOOK.......2007-07-21
My 2 and 3 y/o daughters LOVE this book. It's a fun book and teaching about many animals and the zoo. It's a wonderful gift for your child or a gift to another child. Highly recommend it.

Book Description
Recorded history is a finely-woven magic fabric of intricate lies about events predating the sixteenth century. There is not a single piece of evidence that can be reliably and independently traced back earlier than the eleventh century. This book details events that are substantiated by hard facts and logic, and validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient sources.

Calculations are only as good as your numbers.......2007-08-03
Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.
Pants on fire?.......2007-07-19
Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09
There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.
For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.
Very Interesting.......2007-03-07
It is a good proposal and I believe it will mature into something even better in the future. I think it deserves to be read.
History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10
Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.
I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.
Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.
Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.
I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.
This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.

Cute Idea for a Book.......2007-10-02
I haven't given this to my granddaughters yet, will at Easter time. But the book is cute, something they will enjoy the night before Easter.
The Night Before Easter.......2007-05-10
A bright happy book! Fun to find other objects in the story after reading the whole book. Would definitly recommend this book. Looking forward to purchasing other The Night Before books!
Cute!.......2007-03-22
I ordered this book for my grandson for Easter. I also have "The Night Before Thanksgiving". Since my 5-year old grandson liked that one so much, I decided to order the Easter version. The "story" is similar to "The Night Before Christmas".
Terrific Holiday Book.......2004-03-24
My son received this as an Easter Gift for his first Easter, and we are still reading it three Easters later. He loves to hear it, and I love to read it to him. This makes a great addition to your Easter Basket!
Twas the Night Before Easter.......2000-01-20
A charming Easter tale sure to delight young and old alike. Children will love looking for the eggs hidden in the pictures and listening to the rhythmic language; adults will smile at the new and original twists on this Easter time take-off of the well-loved Twas the Night Before Christmas. The perfect Easter basket gift!
Book Description
One rainy day in Brooklyn, Jennings Michael Burch's mother, too sick to care for him, left him at an orphanage, saying only, "I'll be right back." She never returned. Shuttled through a series of bleak foster homes and institutions, he never remained in any of them long enough to make a friend. Instead, Jennings clung to a tattered stuffed animal, his sole source of warmth in a frightening world. This is the poignant story of his lost childhood. But it is also the triumphant tale of a little boy who finally gained the courage to reach out for love-and found it waiting for him.
Customer Reviews:
Half-truths?.......2007-09-22
I liked the book, but I have internal warning lights going off as to the complete veracity of the story.
While I don't doubt that many of the abusive and neglectful things that happened to Burch did, in fact, happen to him, I can't help but have this feeling that there is some embellishment going on when it comes to some of the abuse. Sometimes the stories of cruelty seem so far-fetched, that they border on implausible (given all the characters involved in any one incident). There are also stories of being rescued from abuse that seem a little fishy.
Even more implausible however, is the philosophical wisdom of some of the children involved...like Burch's sickly brother, Jerome, or his Institution friend, Mark. These pre-teens seem to be able to impart wisdom and knowledge an a scale that most adults have a hard time embracing, even after a lifetime of existence, let alone when they were children.
I'd be willing to bet that the Author had to embellish a little in order to create some of the dialog (dialog dominates much of this book). He would have to! Who amongst us at middle-age can recall, IN DETAIL, lengthy conversations that they had when they were eight years old? But what concerns me more than needing to embellish the dialog, is this feeling I had that there are times when "fact" goes more in to the "fantasy" realm, for the sake of dramatic license. It often seems like certain scenarios have all the timing and drama of a Hollywood screenplay, as opposed to "ringing true to life".
I don't doubt that what Mr. Burch experienced as a child was indeed traumatizing and terrifying. And for that alone, it's a worthwhile read. I just have my doubts as to how much is "autobiographical" and how much is "novel" writing. How can much of what was supposedly said between Mark , Jerome and Jennings be proven anyway? Mark dies in his youth, and Jerome not very long after him (relatively speaking).
This is only an impression I'm making about this book however, as I have no proof one way or the other that there is embellishment going on. I'm just stating a gut-feeling I personally have which is born solely out of life-experience, and that's all.
But if there was embellishment for dramatic effect, I would have preferred that the Author was honest about it. And if there was none, my sincerest apologies for doubting him.
You read it and you decide. :-)
Surviving in life........2007-07-12
This story of a little boy's surviving hardships is so sad; yet he keeps going by letting go of hatered for those who hurt him, and looking forward to a better future.
Great book.......2007-06-09
This is my favorite book. I have read this book over the years no less than eight times......that is why I had to get a new one :-)
I highly recommend this book especially if you are like me and only like to read non-fiction.
Do NOT Bother!!!!.......2007-03-30
This book is horrible. The story is intresting, but it becomes lost benath a style that is both immature and drab. It is clearly written by someone without any training in creative writing. I do not understand what the prevous reviewer saw in this book.
Loved this book.......2007-02-23
I read this book many years ago when I was in 6th grade, actually my teacher read it to us. she found out that Jennings Michael Burch went to different schools around the country to talk about his life. he came to my school the following year. a few years laer when I was in 9th grade he came back, a few years before that I had written him a letter about how much I loved his book. when he came back the 2nd time he stayed at my house. we were his host family. I will never forget that. I have my autographed book with me. IF YOU HAVE NEVER READ THIS BOOK, READ IT. It will make you cry, so have a box of kleenex next to you.

Super Cute.......2007-04-12
This book is cute and the perfect bedtime story for my 2 year old. There are several "bedtime" plots among the Blue's Clues set and they all do a good job of easing into slumber land by coming to a peaceful place at the end of the story.
Blue's a Hit.......2007-03-02
I know Blue's biggest fan. His name is Jaylon and he's 19 months old. Blue can do no wrong and this book does not disaapoint. Steve and Blue take you through Blue's bedtime ritual. The steps are simple, the pictures are colorful, it's small enough to carry around and the book is sturdy enough to withstand eight teeth.
Blue goes to sleep...like all children do..........2007-02-12
A nice bedtime story for your child. She asks for Blue all the time.
Sleepy Time With Blue........2006-08-23
Good Night Blue is a great book to read prior to nap time or bed time. The book shows Blue going potty, brushing his teeth, and getting ready for bed. Children get a great story, and get to learn about all the things they need to do before going to bed.
The book is sturdy and well made, and is fun to read. My 2 daughters love this book.
Good NIght Blue.......2006-08-17
I am sure that every preschool child would like to have this book.
Book Description
Shh...It's almost bedtime, and Dora and Boots are heading home. Along the way they hear some animal sounds. Who's making them? Readers can lift the flaps to find out -- and learn to say good night, just like Dora.
Customer Reviews:
Who's making that sound?.......2007-08-23
My 4-year old really enjoys this book. Dora and Boots are making their way home for bedtime, and along the way they hear various animals making noises. It's interactive as well as just fun to peek under the flaps and find out who's making the sounds. Not recommended for children who still rip book pages--the flaps would be too tempting.
Great bedtime book for toddler.......2007-08-08
My 2 year old loves reading this book right before bedtime. The lift-a-flap is fun too. She loves saying goodnight to all the animals as they are going to bed. Best of all, you get to say goodnight to Dora at the end of the book.
Son's Favorite.......2007-06-14
What can I say, 3 year olds love Dora and my son is no different. He really enjoyed this book.
great Dora book for the price.......2007-05-01
For $5.99 and Free Super Saver Shipping on Amazon this Dor Lift-the-Flap book is a very nice buy. Our little girl (1yr 10mos) loves this book. She really enjoys the lifting up the flaps. I don't really understand one of the 'Spotlight Reviers' giving this book 2 stars. Yes. It's not a board book and it's 'saddle stapled', but what do you expect for $5.99. This book will keep your little one entertained and is fairly durable. I recommend this and other Dora Lift-the-Flap books for your little explorer.
Dora the Explorer---Good Night, Dora! flap book.......2007-01-20
Charming board book for preschoolers with flaps to lift up so the child can interact with the book. Excellent book to use at bedtime.

"scary book" for tots.......2006-11-03
This book is beloved by young children for building up dread and suspense in
a safe environment -- with a happy-at-home climax. A reading is always
accompanied by bright eyed squeals, ohhhs, and shrieks.
Still Awesome.......2006-06-30
I read this book as a child and I'm so excited that my kids are reading it, too. It's great for early readers (and even pre-readers) because it's repetitive and the words go with pictures. My 2 1/2 year old almost has it memorized and thinks she's "reading"!
Great begining book!.......2005-12-02
I grew up learning many sight words from this book, and it belonged to my cousin before me! It was one of my favorites. I can still remember "Up Spook Hill..."
I am very excited to see this book still in print so that I can get it for my child, my copy is a little worn after many years in storage!
A Great Book for Grammar and Entertainment.......2005-11-11
Not only is this a fun read-aloud book that any child will love to hear and memorize, but it is a terrific tool for teaching prepositional phrases. The title is a prepositional phrase, as is every page of the book! You can have your student label (or "classify") each page, and they will be well on their way to learning one of the most confusing concepts in English grammar!
Cris Cunningham for Amazon.com
Great for teaching prepositions.......2004-09-17
My daughter is beginning to understand "between" "under" "out" and other prepositions from this book. The repetition helps reinforce concepts and it has the perfect amount of text on the page for an 18-month old. Plus, the pictures are really cute.
