5 out of 5 stars MUCH BETTER THAN BOTH BIBLES.......2003-09-13

Moretti's Book is a clear, detailed approach to the shortgame and you don't have to be a Rocket Scientist to understand it. It is extremely well written and I guarantee it will help any level of golfer improve his short game. Along with reading the book I can also offer firsthand testimony that the man knows what he's talking about, since I recently attended his Academy of Golf Dynamics School. I've witnessed his shortgame concepts firsthand. Take the advice of a Golf Instruction Nut and Buy This Book. You won't regret the purchase.

5 out of 5 stars If you want to improve your game - buy this book.......2003-05-19

I have read many golf books, but this one makes things simple and easy to understand. Focusing on the short game (about 70% of your score), Moretti teaches a quick, easy to implement, short game swing that will lower your scores. The "Chipping" section is worth the price of the book alone. The shots learned from the book probably save me 5 to 10 shots per round. Moretti's book added new shots to my game and gave me confidence from 100 yards and in.

        5 out of 5 stars Breaking 100.......2002-05-29

A very good friend of mine came by my house a few hours after we had played together. I had shot my usual 100+. He rang the door bell, handed me Turn Three Shots Into Two and said "Read this." I admit my short game is awful, but I never thought a book could actually help me. Well, I was wrong. The next time out I shot 94, which is not great, but my chipping and putting were better. I may never be very good, but I now think I can get better. Thank you Bill Moretti for the simple and easy-to-understand advice.

4 out of 5 stars Not for real beginners.......2007-10-16

As a new learner of Spanish I found this book difficult to use because the vocabulary used in the examples and grammar exercises was unfamiliar. Once I learned enough vocabulary, the book became very useful in explaining, practicing and enforcing what I had learned. I recommend this book only if you already know some Spanish.

4 out of 5 stars sayHola dot com likes this book............2007-09-24

Our online course at SayHola dot com teaches you how to speak the Spanish Language but this book is a great tool for practicing and building Vocabulary. We recommend it.

4 out of 5 stars Great Supplementary Learning Tool.......2007-05-18

First let me clarify by saying that if I could have given this 4 and 1/2 stars, I would have; it's ALMOST worth 5 stars, but not quite.

This book is an excellent learning tool if you already have a little bit of experience with Spanish going in. I bought it to use during a year off from school so I wouldn't forget the Spanish I had learned in my 100-level courses in college. If you do the exercises conscientiously and make an effort to really learn the material, this book can be an invaluable tool to your success in doing so.

That said, the only thing preventing the book from receiving 5 stars is that if you have no prior knowledge of Spanish, it can be a bit confusing going in, as the author completely separates the sections on verbs from those on nouns, adjectives, pronouns, etc. This is an okay idea, but it makes it difficult to complete some of the exercises in the earlier chapters if you don't already know how to use the more basic components of a Spanish sentence.

Still, I more than recommend this book, especially if you just want to brush up on Spanish you learned a long time ago and have since forgotten.

4 out of 5 stars Good but too hard for beginners.......2007-05-07

I purchased this book hoping it would be basic enough to use. Unfortunately, it wasn't, but it will be useful as my Spanish ability improves. Since I am still a beginner in Spanish, I do not have enough vocabulary and grammar background to fully utilize this book now. I think it will be exactly what I need when I become a high beginner or low intermediate Spanish learner. It contains in-depth explanations and many examples. There are also many practice questions to put the new material to use.

4 out of 5 stars Pretty good Spanish grammar book but . . ........2007-04-18

I rate this grammar book as very good. The most positive thing that I can say about this
book is that it is extremely comprehensive. It covers virtually every major topic of
Spanish grammar that a person learning Spanish needs to master. The only Spanish grammar book
that I found that was more thorough than this book is the Ultimate Spanish Review and
Practice. I did find the illustrative examples in this book beneficial, including the
fill-in exercises. But I didn't find the exercises in this book quite as useful as the
exercises in the Ultimate Spanish Review and Practice. With that said, I still recommend
this book as very good resource to learn Spanish grammar.

The only bad thing that I can say about this book is that it is not quite as good as the
other "Practice Makes Perfect" books (i.e. Spanish Verb Tenses and Spanish Pronouns and
Prepositions.) The format of the other two "Practice Makes Perfect" books makes them more
user friendly and easier to read on the eyes. This book would have been more helpful if it
had been written in the same format. In the future, I would like to see the publisher make
a revised version of this book using the exact same format that this publisher used for
Spanish Verb Tenses and Spanish Pronouns and Prepositions.

If you are the type that prefers to learn Spanish from an audio course instead of a book
then I'd recommend Learning Spanish Like Crazy. They use a natural-learning method that
helps you learn the Spanish grammar without realizing that you are learning Spanish
grammar. It's a lot like how learn grammar as a child. You can actually use both
resources together, this book (or the Ultimate Spanish Review and Practice) with Learning
Spanish Like Crazy audio course in order to accelerate your learning.

what a wasted life!! she had all the money in the world to do something of importance with her life and she chose to do nothing! she lived in a fantasy world, it was very hard for me to feel sorry for her, all she did was travel and collect husbands!! in the other hand, the book was well writen but is hard for me to know why anyone like this could be famous!! she was indeed a poor little rich girl.

            4 out of 5 stars Babs is 1 of a Kind!!!!.......2002-07-26

Knowing next to nothing about Babs, I found this book educational, but a little difficult to follow. The author dropped (what seemed like) about 10 names per page, most of which nobody who was born post-1960, like myself, would recognize. It was very hard to remember who was who. I thought I was doing a pretty good job keeping up with Babs' husbands...remembering which was which...but after a while it got confusing (obviously more the subject's fault than the author's). I think I got a pretty good idea of what Ms. Hutton was about, and have a hard time sympathizing with her...poor little rich girl indeed! She popped into a Woolworth's ONCE in her life, just to sign a few autographs. Her cheesy poetry netted her less than $200, the only money she truly earned of her own effort. Someone else handled all her financial matters (luckily for her, usually quite well), because she couldn't be bothered...spending money takes time, you know). She dropped husbands as soon as they no longer entertained her. Yes, she had exquisite taste in clothing and jewelry, and traveled incessantly to places I can only dream of ever seeing..but had no grasp on reality- she once sent one of her employees to the bank to change a bill because she had no change..it was a $10,000 bill ( I didn't even know those existed!). I enjoyed this book because it took me somewhere I could never go myself. It's hard to feel sorry for her though...she dug her own grave!!!

Poor Little Bitch Girl is a raw, unapologetic recounting of pain, loss and hard times. Don't look for any sugar-coating or smoothing over of difficult moments. CJ's memoirs are as hard and rough as they come. CJ Sleez takes a no-holds-barred appraoch to life. She's a creative force of remarkable talent and a destructive force to be reckoned with. Poor Little Bitch Girl is a testament to an enduring free spirit.

            Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Poor Little Bitch Girl and Sharon Osbourne Extreme good duo.......2007-05-19

I picked up a copy of Sharon Osbourne Extreme and Poor Little Bitch Girl by CJ Sleez when amazon had both books paired together. I hope this pairing happens again to encourage more people to discover these remarkable memoirs by two women who overcame adversity, tragedy and the crazy world of rock 'n' roll to make their own mark in the world.

To say Sharon had and has her hands full with Ozzy is an understatement. I have nothing but admiration for her ability to cope with the Black Sabbath years and with her husband's wild array of excessive behaviours while trying to raise something approaching a normal family.

Hanging out with the Rolling Stones likely didn't help put rising rock star CJ Sleez on the path to kicking her heroin addiction and tendancy to associate with the wrong crowd. Failed relationships and memorable concert performances also add elements of interest to Poor Little Bitch Girl: Unapologetic Memoirs from the Queen of Raunchy Rock 'n' Roll.

Both women have lived life to the extreme, with no excuses or apologies. Both books are the real deal and as raw as it gets. I highly recommend both Sharon Osbourne Extreme and Poor Little Bitch Girl: Unapologetic Memoirs from the Queen of Raunchy Rock 'n' Roll.

5 out of 5 stars Poor Little Bitch Girl is wonderful.......2007-03-18

I absolutely fell in love with this book and the sexy girl who wrote it. Talk about an honest portrayal of a life badly lived, CJ Sleez is candid about her former heroin addiction, her failed relationships and her many mistakes on the way to living life on the edge. There are other autobiographies out there by more famous people, but none as honest and gripping as this one. Highly recommended.

5 out of 5 stars Poor Little Bich Girl is rich with insight.......2006-04-02

Poor Little Bitch Girl captured my interest with wide-eyed wonder. I couldn't put this book down for a moment and read it cover-to-cover the instant I picked it up. I learned a great deal of the troubles and triumphs of rock star CJ Sleez. She writes it all in a very honest way without ever falling into the trap so many other writers do of trying to make themselves look good. What an incredible and fascinating story!

3 out of 5 stars A Look at How the Other Half Lives; Forget the Humor.......2001-08-30

This long out-of-print book is useful beyond its intended purpose, which is to prep 'poor' (read 'middle-class') American males in the art of marrying into wealth.
Since subject matter of this type seems crass when presented as a straightforward manual (and did even in the 'greed was good' 1980s), it is packaged as 'humor.' It should not be read as such. Anyone picking up "The Poor Boy's Guide to Marrying Rich" in search of laughs will be disappointed. What humor there is is heavy-handed and suggestive, like the color commentary in a bad men's magazine, and seems incidental to the rest of the book, as though it were added as an afterthought.
In fact, I would be surprised if that weren't the case. No respectable mainstream publisher would put out a book on how to marry a rich girl (what would be next -- 'Gold Digging for Dummies'?) except under the guise of humor. I imagine that Brian Ross Duffy's original conception was a serious work on the subject, but that he was persuaded by the publisher (or someone) to rework his original manuscript and "lighten it up." This is unfortunate, because his attempts at levity come across as rather seedy, while the rest of the book is fairly innocuous. The bawdy humor seems doubly out of place since Duffy has not yet accomplished what he purports to teach the rest of us, and one imagines he would wish to avoid biting the hand he hopes someday might feed him.
What Duffy has written is purely a practical guide. He explains simply and earnestly how the wealthy spend their days; how they eat, how they court, even what they read and where they vacation. The terms and concepts he introduces here may be common currency in wealthy circles, but they were Swahili to this middle-brow Midwesterner. When friends of mine talk about their 'swim,' they mean their trip to the local pool, not their circle of friends.
The book has obvious flaws. It begins by painting the moneyed class -- and particularly its daughters -- in broad strokes. But it spins off into such arcane topics as classic horse show events and the Fertile Crescent, covering the latter in such agonizing detail that the casual book browser might mistake it for a travel guide. Incidental information of this sort might be useful to someone planning to `pass for rich' for a weekend, but a person looking to make a permanent move up in society would be better off studying etiquette, economics, and his own psychology than memorizing the names of country clubs and celebrity diseases.
The book touches only lightly on the psychology and ethics of marrying above one's station, citing the concept of noblesse oblige while failing to explain it. One subtle obstacle to "marrying up" is the enormous social gulf it must create between the two sets of in-laws (and, by extension, within the marriage itself). Duffy only hints at this intriguing topic before moving on to more fluff. Another tantalizing angle is the self-loathing that must beset many social-climbers, particularly men, when faced with the constant realization that they are their spouses' economic inferiors. Does this situation tend to produce a sort of financial eunuch? Does that husband become an angry rebel who condemns his benefactors at every opportunity while continuing to live off of his in-laws' bounty? The author doesn't venture into these waters, though there is comic potential there. Then there is the distracting use of personal anecdotes: "I've summered in the Fertile Crescent for almost thirty years and (modesty aside) feel well qualified to conduct this important although abbreviated tour..." Is Duffy attempting to gratify his ego? If so, he loses the sympathy of the reader in the process. Is he trying to build credibility on his subject matter? His claims are too vague to prove or disprove. Who, besides Duffy himself, really cares how many yacht clubs he's been to or rich girls he's bedded? The writer does, however, display an obvious affection for the subject. He is not engaged in class warfare. He is not out to mock the wealthy or destroy them from within; he merely wishes to number himself among them. He readily admits that doing so constitutes a tradeoff, however, and that joining the ranks of the rich means giving up a private existence for one of constant activity, most of it apparently philanthropic in nature.
Why did I read the book? After all, I already have a wife, and no aspirations of replacing her with anyone named Muffy or Mimsy. I read 'The Guide' (as Duffy calls it) because it is an honest, if casual, look at the lives of the American upper-crust, and it serves as a useful primer to anyone hoping to someday operate -- however peripherally -- within that rarefied environment.

A Look at How the Other Half Lives; Forget the Humor
