Book Description
Anya Harris's talents have made her a refugee, flying from city to city ahead of a tide of burning terror nobody else can see. She's hoping Santiago City will be safe-but deep in her heart of hearts, she knows nowhere is safe enough for someone with her secrets. When the gray-eyed man with guns and a sword shows up, claiming to be sent to protect her, Anya has to believe him. After all, she has nowhere else to go. Jack Gray is one of the oldest Watchers around, scarred by the battle between Circle Lightfall and the Crusade. He's found his witch and nothing is going to get in the way of protecting her. But nothing is as simple as it looks. Anya's talent makes her worth millions, if she's delivered alive and broken to the corporate bidders. Jack's the only one who can save her-but when she finds out who he really is, he might lose her for good.

Storm Watcher.......2007-03-20
I just received Cloud Watcher and haven't started it yet. If it is anything like her first 2 of the series it has to be great. The Watchers are yummy and the heroines are very independent and show a lot of courage. I have also enjoyed her Society series and am looking forward to more of them. I have introduced my 3 daughters to Ms. Saintcrow and they have enjoyed her too.
Please keep up the fantastic work and look forward to many more to come.

Missing something..........2007-02-08
I recently stumbled upon this author when I was in my local bookstore. This series has been amazing so far, but this book seemed to be missing something that the other three books had. Don't get me wrong, I still highly enjoyed the story, but the vibe was off.
Ms. Saintcrow is a master of urban fantasy...........2006-12-30
Anya Harris has been fleeing from city to city, trying to avoid the Dark that wants to destroy her. Anya is a Lightbringer but is unaware of her heritage. She only knows she has the talent of Persuasion. Accompanied by Shell Garritson, she arrives in Santiago City to find a haven among the three Guardians (see DARK WATCHER, STORM WATCHER, and FIRE WATCHER for their stories) only to meet Watcher Jack Gray. Jack knows instantly that he's found his witch in Anya, the only Lightbringer whose touch doesn't hurt him, but he has a dark secret. Will his secret destroy them as the Brotherhood once again threatens the sanctuary of Santiago City?
CLOUD WATCHER is the fourth book in the phenomenal series about the Watchers and the Lightbringers and continues the same excellence exhibited in all three previous books. While CLOUD WATCHER contains enough information to be a stand alone novel, readers will appreciate the world Ms. Saintcrow has created far more if the series is read in order.
Lilith Saintcrow is without a doubt one of the top writers of urban fantasy today. Her crisp prose and taut plotlines are carefully crafted for maximum impact. Her vividly drawn characters are so realistic this reviewer feels as if she is visiting old friends whenever characters from previous books reappear. Jack is perhaps the darkest character yet in this series, as his secret is a horrible one. However, Ms. Saintcrow uses his love and caring for Anya to allow the goodness that is his core to shine through.
CLOUD WATCHER is a spectacular addition to the Watcher series. Readers are in for a treat with this one as Lilith Saintcrow produces yet another superb story. Lilith Saintcrow truly is a master in the urban fantasy genre!

excellent romantic fantasy .......2006-12-24
Anya Harris feels all alone in the world as she flees the Dark fires that no one else seems to see. Her only companion as she runs from "the persuasion" is Shell, who depends on her for his well-being as he apparently is a "downs syndrome" person.
In Santiago City, she knows she needs a job that will enable her to also keep Shell safe. Instead she meets Watcher Jack Gray, whose centuries of dedication to Circle Lightfall may not redeem him for the atrocities he committed. Jack realizes she is the witch who he has waited seemingly forever to come into his life. He must protect her and her ward with his heart and soul as the Dark has followed her here. Used to having no one protect her back or someone steal her heart, Anya rejects his efforts to keep her safe; still her presence gives him some hope of redemption for the evil he did before he became a Watcher.
The Lilith Saintcrow "Watcher' romantic fantasy (see DARK WATCHER, STORM WATCHER, and FIRE WATCHER) is a terrific tale starring two interesting protagonists. Anya trusts no on except Shell who is almost totally dependent on her. Jack has waited forever for his soulmate to bewitch him so has begun to lose faith that he will ever meet her. When they do meet both are stunned, but he knows he first needs to keep her safe because her skills make her special and worth millions, but to do that he also must protect Shell. CLOUD WATCHER is a strong entry in a terrific series.

Fourth book in the Watcher series.......2006-11-17
I have enjoyed all the other books in this series and this one is no different. I liked the idea of a woman who doesn't know she is a witch and because of the things she sees she doubts her sanity.
Anya is running before the fires of the Dark. She does not know she is a witch and she is afraid of what she calls "the persuation". Somewhere along the way she has picked up an older boy, Shell, with what sounds like "downs syndrome". She takes care of Shell and he depends on her. They barely escaped the last time. With very little money or possessions she needs a job. Preferrably somewhere she will still be able to keep an eye on Shell.
Jack Gray is one of the oldest Watchers. He has never found his witch in all these many years and he doubts he ever will. Even if he does, his burden of guilt, tells him she will never accept him. He hopes that the hundreds of yrs he has served Circle Lightfall, many give him some hope of redemption for the evil he did before he became a Watcher.
We learn more about the Watchers and about the beginnings of Circle Lightfall and the Crusade. Although her devotion to Shell is admirable, we also see his need to have and control Anya. Anya has had no help and protection, she has had to fight the Dark alone for too long. She has troubling accepting Jack, for who and what he is. She also has trouble accepting who and what she is.
The Dark has chased her here, and now she is vulnerable to their intrigues. Jack has to convince her she must let him protect her, because her power and abilities are worth a fortune to others, and the Dark and the Crusade will never let her live if they can kill her.
I really enjoyed this book and I look forward to more. Lilith Saintcrow is very talented at creating wonderful and unusual worlds. So far every one has been a keeper.

Customer Reviews:
Great for the price.......2007-05-14
I had looked at his other book thru a friend and the amount of information was way to much. I was looking for something a bit more moderate and productive. This book was very helpful. The exercises in here work for both levels with a limited amount of equipment. Local gym memberships were expensive around (85) a month and I had some free weights and a bar. This was the solution he even has a guide for buying equipment stating that you can get everything you need for around $300.
Timeless Advice That Works Well Today!.......2006-07-02
I got this book almost 15 years ago and it really worked for me. I used it to start my own workout regime and I got results within weeks. I still do many of the stretching exercises that I'd learned from this book today at the gym although I don't have as much time as before to do all the weight training exercises. I find both the stretching and the abdominal exercises here to be first class - easy to do and extremely effective - and should time permit and I get more time say at least 3 hours to spare at the gym, I'll try to restart in full the routines outlined in this book. This is highly recommended for anyone who has always wanted to get fit through weight training but didn't know how to start.
it works.......2005-12-06
I have been working out for over 10 years and never did any sort of workout like this, but it works. I had a surgey and found myself in the weakest shape of my life, so i bought the book read it thaught it was stupid, but gave it a try anyway and now have been doing it for 3 months and can do the circuit with no problem 3 times in 45-50 mininutes with heavey weights.
give it 4 weeks it works
Effective routines despite many erroneous explanations.......2004-11-19
A great bodybuilder yet a lousy and lazy author and communicator, Arnold could have shrunk this book into one forth of its length and hired a well-educated editor to present more compelling and accurate information. In this book, Arnold sounds more submissive to the cynicism of wealthy, lazy, and late starters from Santa Monica. He is pictured with his trainees in-person in the simplest and most ridiculous exercises that a mature adult could contemplate doing. Thus, the entire book is geared for those late starters that are hard to motivate who need the simplest routines, in a nutshell.
Though the book was first published in 1981, it was then well known that endurance training and strength training affect muscles in different ways. Arnold contends, on page 11, that Bodybuilders and Weightlifters were found to have less healthy hearts and lungs compared to runners. That is one of many of his erroneous interpretation of physiological issues related to exercise. Based on that false conclusion, he proposes adding an aerobic component to strength training. The fact is that aerobics enhances the cellular respiratory mechanism and has no impact on making healthier hearts or lungs.
His effort to explain how strength training benefits rehabilitation is limited to the versatility of applying resistance to the desired region of the body and at the desired rate. He does not delve into the desired enhancement of metabolism by activity that is beneficial to cell growth and repair. His dumbest interpretation of the effect of weight lifting on high blood pressure is claiming that pulsating blood massages the walls of arteries and prevents their hardening and that strength training strengthens the heart and keeps arteries flexible. That is not true unless the person's entire lifestyle is conducive to healthy living, the heart was not already diseased, and that there were no other causes of essential hypertension that are not preventable by exercise.
The rest of the book deals with progressive strength training, from Series I thru III and ending with competitive bodybuilding. I doubt that any late starter would be able to advance through the three levels unless completely committed, wealthy, and jobless. The three series has a common feature. They entail: (1) stretching with 5 exercises, (2) warm-up with 5 exercises, (3) warm-down with 5 to 7 exercises, (4) weight training of 5 regions of the body with 2 to 4 exercises each, and (5) abdominal training with 5 to 7 exercises.
The choice of exercises for each body region shows the depth of experience of the author. This is the positive aspect of this book. He assigns the Clean and Press and dumbbell lateral raises to the shoulders, bench press and dumbbell press to the chest, chin-up and bend-over rows to the back, arms curls and triceps press to the arms, and squat, lunges, and calf raises to the legs. As you go through the transitions from Series I through III, he suggests adding more weight, more exercises, and accomplishing the workout in lesser time intervals. This is another positive contribution by an experienced athlete.
The pictures are outdated, too large, unnecessarily fill whole pages, and there are a lot of blank tables to fill next to each picture. I never understood why this book was written for men only. May be that was the trend in 1981.
To the Point.......2002-12-19
I bought this book for my boyfriend and he loves it. The book is broken down in to specific areas and along with the pictures, make exercises easy to understand and do correctly. The pictures are VERY outdated which makes for a good laugh, but overall the book is great. NO FLUFF! And you can never go wrong with Arrrrnnnold.

To Jaykae: Life Stinx.......2005-03-16
I actually liked this book. Well i liked it because its about a boy thats about the same age as i am, so i can relate to some of his problems. Also because it was just a fun book to read, there was hardly ever a time when i got bored reading it. The last reason is because it had a lot of different emotions, it had sad times, happy times, and funny times.
My favorite part in the book was whenever he met Alison Gray online. It showed the conversation they were actually having in the chat room. They even talked like most kids do today. It also showed what everyone else was saying in the chat room.
The story elements that were most vivid were the characters and setting. They really described the characters and i could really picture them in my head. Same for the setting they used a lot of details.
Nice Book to read.......2003-12-10
I have read this book so many times due to the similarities that Jason and I share. I absolutely love this book, the book expresses what Jason thinks on matters like girl and family. He likes girls alot and manage a strange way to get them by showing them his step brother's picture. It's funny sometimes how Jason do things. I recommend this book to anyone that's around 10 to 15 years old. Read it, you will love it!
Somewhat Boring.......2002-12-10
Jason's parents are divorced, his best friend has a new girlfriend every week, and he has no romance in his life. His only solace is the love of his dog, and his online friend, Allison Gray. But when his father decides to get married to someone who resembles Miss Piggy, Jason's life takes a turn for the worse. Because now, not only does he have to deal with a new stepmother, but also a new stepbrother. Whom just happens to be Mr. High School All-American, and very popular with the ladies. But when his online pal wants a picture of him, and he sends one of his stepbrother, his life may just get a little bit worse.
I personally would not recommend this book to anyone. The characters are boring and uninteresting. And the plot is a bit cliched. I recommend reading something, like "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" instead of this.
Something Real To Relate To.......2002-06-17
This book is totally realistic! I can relate to it alot! It's all about a teenager, with a life that isn't perfect. His new stepbrother moves in, but he has stuff, and girls, on his mind all the time. They hate each other until they discover that they really are the same. Hey, they live together, they might as well get along! It's a very nice, book, with trouble that keeps getting bigger, and bigger! It's funny, and it makes you feel like there's someone out there just like you, struggling over things like that. I recommend it for teenagers, not anyone younger than a pre-teen because of the language, and some inappropriate contents. Otherwise, the book is great, and meaningful.
