RV Electrical Systems: A Basic Guide to Troubleshooting, Repairing and Improvement.......2007-04-11
This is a highly detailed book on RV Electrical Systems. If you are a little bit of a tec head this book may be for you.
RV electrical guide.......2007-02-13
The book is wonderful and easy to follow with good illustrations and photographs. It covers pretty much the gammut of electrical items found on an RV -- way more than I will probably need, but its good to know it's all there. The book was purchased used and the description stated in excellent condition, but when it arrived, it was not what I would call excellent -- dog eared pages and warped pages- like the top end of the pages had gotten wet. It is still very readable and usable, but I strongly disagree with the booksellers rating of its quality.
Easy to understand in plain english!.......2006-05-13
This will teach most (non-electrician by trade) people many useful things that will make their trips more enjoyable.(reduce operator error).
Easy-to-understand information for do-it-yourselfers.......2006-02-19
Bought book to help plan an RV electrical system upgrade and it more than met my expectations. Found the book fairly easy to understand with a wealth of specific information about the "whys" and "wherefores" of wire, fuses, circuits, batteries, battery charging, electrical loads, etc. Author also includes a wealth of technical info for tech types who want greater detail.
Moeller's "RV Electrical Systems" a Live Wire!.......2004-08-10
As the co-author of "RV Boondocking Basics--A Guide to Living Without Utility Hookups" (available on Amazon) I not only have read, but keep on my active RV bookshelf the Moellers' tome. It's thick, but covers a wide variety of important topics that all RVers, not just "do it yourselfers" need to be aware of.
From low voltage to "shore power" circuits, the Moellers explain in clear language how to maintain, operate, and KEEP SAFE with electricty in and around your RV. Diagrams, illustrations, and photos make it a well-used book around our rig.
A great book!

Lonely Planet Israel and Occupied Palestinian Territories........2007-07-04
Up to the usual great quality, Lonely Planets travel guides are generally the best reference tool for travellers. However, there is a beautiful and brilliant guide that was published about 20 months ago near Bethlehem by the Alternative Tourism Group which is currently only available on AMAZON UK for under 18#, called Palestine and Palestinians a 6star rating surpassing any travel book published thus far on the oPt and Israel where now razed villages or lost histories now exist. It will make any trip to the unholy Holy Land a more enriching and meaningful experience and highly recommended.
Lonely Planet Israel & the Palestinian Territories (Lonely Planet Israel).......2007-06-28
It looks easy to me to go around this country, even under Israel's attack with missile.
Book Description
From Jericho's ruins and the domes of Jerusalem to Tel Aviv's hip cafés and Eliat's beaches, this fully updated guide is the essential companion for travelling around this fascinating land.
- 64 detailed maps, including a full-colour country map
- extensive political, historical and cultural information
- the lowdown on language courses and working on a kibbutz

Customer Reviews:
Very biased -- you can do MUCH better.......2007-05-04
I buy a guide book to learn about the country I am visiting, preferably through a reasonably sympathetic eye. I don't want cheerleading or rose-colored glasses, but I don't expect open hostility or overt political bias. But the Lonely Planet Guide to Israel and the Palestinian Territories is full of just that. The author is overtly anti-Zionist in his tone, unnecessarily political, and to me outright offensive. I DO begrudge one's political views in a travel guide! If I want a political text (and I read voraciously about Israel, from a variety of viewpoints), I will buy one.
This is a terrible guide. You can do much better, and at the time of this writing, I would suggest the Frommer's Israel Guide, just released in October 2006. Anything would be better than this.
A Riveting Read.......2006-07-30
I have read and enjoyed a wide variety of Lonely Planet guides during my travels. But by far ISRAEL & THE PALESTINIAN TERRITORIES is my favorite. I picked it up before a planned trip to Israel and couldn't put it down. When I finished it, I couldn't wait to get the plane to check out this legendary country for myself. And then the trip was cancelled. I was devastated.
Though I cannot address the accuracy of restaurant, hotel and shopping recommendations here, I can say this book offers a fantastic selection of information about the history of the area, its peoples and peculiar challenges.
Reading how other reviewers have detected an anti-Israeli bias from authors Paul Hellander, Andrew Humphreys and Neil Tilbury surprised me. I noticed none of this when I first read this book, but opening it again I see it on every page from an inset box about Israeli rudeness to another that goes on and on about the challenges for Orthodox Jewish gays. I see no mention here about the "challenges" gays face in Islam.
Perhaps I was too captivated by the authors' accounts of things like "Jerusalum Syndrome" to notice the authors' political bent. And that's fine. I do not begrudge the authors their opinions.
In fact, though I am far from anti-Israel, generally speaking I prefer a point-of-view to bland, allegedly "objective" information.
-- Regina McMenamin
Superficial.......2004-06-04
I am a LP fan, but after been living in Israel for almost 3 years I have to say that this guide is very superficial. It could be much better ... for example, there are restaurants that everybody know in Israel, very popular, very nice that are not mentioned in the guide. I would expect something more from LP ... sorry :(
Political opinion VS visitors guidebook.......2004-01-23
I have a number of Lonely Planet guides and this is the only one that goes out of its way to make political statements about the country. Along with that is the poorly researched information about what to see and where to stay.
Shame on Lonely Planet. They are unquestionably the best guide books around except for this one.
There are more helpful books on travel.......2003-02-06
I am sorry I bought this book. It is not a terrible book, and it came recommended, but it was disappointing. I wanted something different than the usual books, but simply put, the more widely known guide books are better and more helpful.
Customer Reviews:
I liked Let's Go better.......2004-08-17
I travelled to Israel a few years ago, bringing both the Lonely Planet guide and the Let's Go. I found Let's Go to be better on most counts, more up-to-date and with more relevant info, plus a larger selection of good places to stay and/or eat. In addition, Let's Go's recent-history section was far better. In fact, the only thing I liked better about Lonely Planet's guide was that it was printed on nicer paper.

She might not be as photogenic as Harry Potter, but the charming Molly Moon makes up the difference in pluck in this somewhat similar story of a put-upon English orphan who finds that she has abilities beyond her wildest imagining.
Georgia Byng's debut novel has already swept to such success that it's due for translation in over 20 countries, with a movie version following close behind (produced by Harry Potter's David Heyman, natch). And with such a genuinely likeable (if straightforward) story and heroine, it's not hard to see why. Molly Moon struggles to survive in Hardwick House, an orphanage apparently run by and for caricatures--the beastly mistress Miss Adderstone and her bad-tempered pug, the muscly Gordon Boils (who tattooed "KING GORD" on the fingers of his fists with a compass and ink), creepy Roger Fibbin with his "sharp nose and cold, spying eyes." But as all wish-fulfillment adventures must go, Molly's life is changed one fateful day, as an arcane book draws out her special talent--she can hypnotize anybody to do anything she wants!
Byng makes good use of her otherwise mundane cast with plenty of wry asides (like Molly's fixation on the transformative promise of advertising), great running jokes (especially the metamorphosis of the orphanage's hard-boiled cook into a proud Italian capocuoco), some clever plot sleight-of-hand, and ample funny descriptions (as when Molly finds herself in the Royal Suite at the Waldorf: "She wasn't sure about the Jacuzzi. It was like ten monsters farting in her bath all at once."). (Ages 9 to 12) --Paul Hughes
Book Description
Molly Moon is no ordinary orphan. When she finds a mysterious old book on hypnotism, she discovers she can make people do whatever she wants. But a sinister stranger is watching her every move, and he'll do anything to steal her hypnotic secret ...

How To Get To Carnegie Hall.......2007-09-09
Molly Moon is an unpopular and unattractive orphan. She only has one friend in the orphanage; a boy named Rocky who arrived about the same time she did. One day Molly has a disagreement with Rocky and before she can make up, he is adopted and whisked away by an American couple. Now Molly is alone. Her fortunes change when she discovers a book on ypnotism (the cover is torn so the H is missing). Molly discovers she has a natural gift for the art. Soon her powers are used to make life a little easier at the orphanage and get back at some of those who had been the most cruel. But Molly doesn't stop there. She tries to find Rocky but there are no records. Her talent gets her a small sum on money and she flees to the United States in hopes of find her friend.
New York proves to be very alluring to the young Molly. She sets herself up in the Waldorf Hotel. She knows she needs more money so she arranges to be a child star in a new musical. But her meteoric rise is noticed by a man who has been looking for the hypnotism book. He hopes to use the techniques to commit the greatest of crimes. Now he thinks he can get Molly to do it for him by kidnaping her dog. Soon Molly and Rocky are reunited and they have to figure out how to stop the crime and protect the dog. Can they do it? If they succeed what can they do next? Where can they go? Read to find out.
This is a fun story with lots of wild characters. This is a kid's world and not one that is meant to be real. Molly uses her newfound powers in greedy manner but realizes this is not the best way. She feels bad about using her powers. As the story develops you think you know where it is going and then a major twist changes things. Other twists follow. I look forward to reading other Molly Moon books (there's quite a few). For light fun this is a good choice. Check it out.
The Adventures of Molly Moon.......2007-04-29
A fun and light-hearted romp. I simply could not put it down! With an intelligent and strong female character, an ugly dog, and a book of hypnotism--what more could you want???
I would recommend this book to kids 8-12 and a thesaurus is not required! An easy read--and don't get me wrong, adults might enjoy this book too!
Molly Moon's Incredible book of Hypnotism.......2007-04-24
Imagine living in an orphanage one day and living on top another day. Molly Moon's Incredible book of Hypnotism by Georgia Byng is a book with all that and even more.
Molly Moon is a great book because it's a page-turner. Every time I finish a page I have to keep on reading. One page might have a surprise and the next page might have another surprise and I have to find out the answer. At the end everything ties up.
Molly Moon's Incredible Book of Hypnotism is an adventurous book. Molly Moon starts out with an ordinary life. But things start to change just by going to the public library and checking out a book like no other. Molly Moon needs to keep the book in hiding because Ms. Adderstone the manager of the orphanage will find out what she's doing and have her clean the floor with a toothbrush. She already got in trouble for having to much water in the bathtub. I love how Molly is interested in learning new skills of hypnotism. Every day she becomes better and better.
To help Molly survive she has a best friend named, Rocky Scarlet. He always has Molly's back. He is truly a great friend.
Molly Moon's Incredible Book of Hypnotism shows that if you take time for yourself you will learn more about yourself and find a skill that will help you in life. I love Molly Moon's Incredible Book of Hypnotism because it reminds you this throughout the book. I recommend Molly Moon's Incredible Book of Hypnotism because you have to think while you read it. Molly Moon's Incredible Book of Hypnotism is a great book because it's good for all ages.
Molly Moon.......2007-03-09
Molly Moons Incredible Book of Hypnotism is a book that would proubably be enjoyed most by readers ages 7-10. This book is for someone who doesn't mind a longer book and is able to wait until the really good part. The protagonist (Molly Moon) is just your typical orphan girl that happened upon a magnificent book. A book that could get her anything she wants. The antagonist (Dr.Nockman) is a hard-headed crook trying to get his way to the top not only through Molly, but also that wonderful book. This book is something that I didn't enjoy all that much. I'm not someone that enjoys waiting quite a while for the climax. But overall it was a pretty good book.
A Great Read For Kids of All Ages (and a Few Adults too!).......2007-03-09
Poor Molly Moon feels rejected, different, and lonely at a strict, small town orphanage in England. She often makes mistakes which render her as a frequent target of discipline from the head administrator, Mrs. Adderstone. Molly decides to do something about her situation when she finds a book which teachers her how to become important by hypnotizing people. Her first target is Mrs. Adderstone's mean pug, Petula, who is only mean because her tummy hurts from being fed chocolate chip cookies instead of healthy dog food. Through hypnotism, Petula changes her eating habits and becomes Molly's best friend. The story takes you on a series of adventures that has you rooting for Molly and her pug, Petula. In the end, Molly learns that tricking people into liking her through hypnotism is not the answer to her problems. She learns to be herself and wins the respect of all those who she once considered to be her enemies.

Customer Reviews:
A nice book for Harry Potter like fantasy fans.......2007-04-08
I bought this book while I was in the Potter fever about 4 years ago. I had just ended up reading the 3rd book, and the forth one was not available at the stores yet, so I bought this interesting book.
It tells the story of a group of children that use a book about hypnotism to carry on some very nice adventures. Telling more would ruin the entire book.
In the bad side, this suffers the same plot problems found in the Harry Potter books: when it's getting interesting at the end of the book, the whole plot solves too quickly with a series of very well chosen events in a matter of a couple of pages.
Anyway, this is an easy going book that will catch your attention if you like this kind of fantasy. I'd recommend it as a weekend lecture for you or your children.
