Just The Light That I Needed.......2007-09-13
This book was a lifesaver for me. It put light into my dark, dim world. When I found this book, I was in a severe depression, going through a most difficult time in my life. I credit it with saving me. And I give glory to God for putting it in my hands.
No matter where you are in your life, this book will benefit you. You don't have to be as low as I was for this book to bless you. It is a must read for everyone!!
It is worth every dime that it cost and then some. Once you read it, you will want to put it next to your bible and keep it forever.
It means so much to me that I purchase it for everyone that I cross paths with, who seems to be in need of faith, love, comfort, and/or support. I use it as a way to minister to those in need.
You will LOVE it!
Comforting.......2007-03-08
It is because of Stormie that I have grown much closer to our LORD. She has a way of just talking to you and you feel like she is your friend. I have read most of her books and passed them on!
Don't put her books away, share them with your friends and family! They will enrich their lives as well!
I love her books and recommend her HIGHLY!
True Light !.......2007-02-22
Life is filled with uncertainties, and when life threatens to overcome us, and everything within us wants to throw in the towel and give up, there is God. We find that in our moment of need, He is all we need. This ever so powerful book will encourage you and lift you up to an understanding that God is sufficient for our every need. It is not in looking to the past or to the future, but in looking up to the One who is all knowing and all powerful. The step your on is the one that God wants you to be and learning how to maximize that season of life is what walking with the Lord is all about. Don't miss out on this powerfully encouraging book that will bring you peace in the midst of the chaos of a fallen world.
Good enough to read again!.......2006-07-25
I have this book and have read it. I took notes on it, and I plan to read it again!
His light shines brightly, even thru the Celebrate Recovery 12-Steps.......2006-04-21
This is a MUST-HAVE companion book especially if you are going through or contemplating on going through a Celebrate Recovery 12-step group. Although it is not all about the 12-steps, it is applicable to wherever you're at in life and whatever you're faced with.
I can remember the 1st day I walked slowly into a women's 12-step group @ Saddleback, it was the scariest thing but I did it anyway with faith in God, knowing there are VICTORIES awaiting.
As I cleared out my schedule, including relationships, to stay focused w/ minimal distractions and to allow myself to lean more on God rather than others, I found that going thru the Celebrate Recovery participant guides were emotionally exhausting as I've had to dig up hurts, habits and hang-ups from the past and present. I eventually found myself searching for a book that I could read that was applicable to where I was at - preparing to dive into my 4th step (moral inventory). And so when I came across this profound book title 'Just Enough Light for the Step I'm on' by Stormie Omartian, I thought - "WOW, how applicable!"
One of the cool things about this book, aside from that it points me to God in each page and that there are enlightening prayers throughout, is that this book applies to every experience we face in this life, not just while going through a 12-step. You'll identify with much in this book.
I am definitely A WORK IN PROGRESS!
Although I'm not quite close to finishing the most difficult step (4th) yet, I am walking step by step on this journey and path with God and with JUST ENOUGH LIGHT FOR THE STEP I'M ON thru every layer of hurt, habit & hang-up to full transformation, restoration, healing, and countless VICTORIES!
This book, already highly recommended to the women in my step group, will continue to be a constant reference in my bedroom library, along with 2 other books by Stormie, 'Power of a Praying Woman' and 'The Prayer That Changes Everything.'

Book Description
THERE ARE THINGS YOU CAN'T FAKE
Will Tiernay is an operative with Avalon, a top-secret army of mercenaries who recover stolen art and antiquities. When his new assignment -- tracking down an art forger at a museum reproductions company -- leads him directly to his former lover, Mia Dolan, he discovers he wants her more than ever. But Mia is his prime suspect.
THERE ARE THINGS YOU CAN'T CONTROL
Mia had always imagined Will to be married with a houseful of kids back home in Ohio. So she's shocked to discover that he's a very single journalist researching the inner workings of Haddington Reproductions. More shocking is their chemistry -- as irresistible now as then. But Mia suspects Will is hiding something.... Is this truly a second chance at passion? Or will his real mission draw them so deeply into an underworld of danger and deception that they'll be lucky to escape alive?
Customer Reviews:
I've read better.......2007-04-12
Quote from Harriet:
"this is worth reading by sub-genre fans is the doubt whether Mia is a crook hiding in plain sight of love, an unsuspecting dupe, or something else as Michele Albert leaves ONE WAY OUT for her lead couple."
Therein lies the problem as a reader: does Mia Dolan even represent the face of white collar crime? This is a second chance at love story set under the umbrella of a potential art heist. Haddington reproductions is set to reproduce fake artwork to be sold to a reputable company while the real thing gets sold to the black market for millions more dollars. Will Tierney is given this assignment by Avalon (another secret Agency fighting for the good of the world), only to learn that his former flame is a suspect in the eyes of Avalon, along with two other employees.
As a reader, I just couldn't suspend disbelief on a lot of things the author presents in her story. Like the rekindled feelings after 12 years apart and they had a nasty break up, too. Didn't buy it. Will's doubt of Mia, granted it's been 12 years since they've seen each other but he should know from background check that she's probably in the dark. Yet the doubts "linger" leaving him to say things about Miea that annoyed me. Will is duping Mia and using her past feelings for him to help him bring down her employer. Why they just couldn't work together and say, hey, your employer is so and so and so and go from there. Also, Haddington company makes Will's job just too easy! Never once are they suspicous of his character, or his questions that I found were not very discreet. All in all, I just couldn't believe Ms. Albert wrote this book. The dialogue was a bit stilted, the chemistry between characters was forced and the suspense was rather weak. The book started off well but after the first chapter things went downhill quick. I was anticipating a good read but came away disappointed. My grade was a D for this effort and I hope Ms. Albert next book will be better but alas, every author is allowed their bad book on occassion but I have only two books on my keeper shelf: All Night Long and A Great Catch and I have enjoyed Off Limits but that's been about it.
terrific romantic mystery .......2007-04-07
As an agent of Avalon, Will Tiernay knows you can't pick your assignments, but this one he wonders if he should claim a conflict of interest. His superior at the privately owned and funded agency that recovers stolen art has tasked Will to go undercover to learn who at Haddington Reproduction plans to switch the authentic priceless Eudoxia Reliquary collection with apparent realistic fakes. His fears is that Mia Dolan, the only woman he ever loved, is one of the bad guys.
Will and Mia realize from the first moment of their second time around, the attraction remains stratospheric. As they explore their feelings, he worries foremost that she might be a thief and if not that she will never forgive him for his deception as she will wonder if he used her to get at the con artist(s). As they fall in love again, both have their doubts, but first they must deal with the issue of a clever felon whose replacement plan is foolproof as the fakes look so much like the real that most people would fall for switch.
The art theft is the prime story line of a terrific romantic mystery although the second chance at love augments the dilemma facing the hero. The action-packed story line never slows down while leaving a few dangling threads for more Avalon thrillers. However, the reason this is worth reading by sub-genre fans is the doubt whether Mia is a crook hiding in plain sight of love, an unsuspecting dupe, or something else as Michele Albert leaves ONE WAY OUT for her lead couple.

Book Description
North...by Northwest?
When Principal Green introduces a mandatory new program called "SpringPlan" at Capeside High, Jen, Joey, Pacey, Jack, Andie, and Dawson all sign up for projects that interst them. But Princpal Green has other ideas, and they find themselves assigned to "Character Building Through Wilderness Training" in the wilds of North Carolina. Oh yeah.
Wilderness Camp is run by a former marine drill sergeant who makes the Godfather look like Mother Teresa. Pre-breakfast runs, splittng wood, poisonous-snake identification classes. Tension is running high, but there's only one way out of the woods for Jen, Joey, Pacey, Dawson, Jack, and Andie.
Customer Reviews:
Good Enough.......2004-04-22
This was a decent 'Dawsons Creek' novel. I like the fact that both Jack and Andie were included, that is a major plus. In some of these books based on TV shows the charectors in the books act different to how they do on the show, but for the most part that was not the case for this book, the charecters acted very much like themselfs. The reason I give it four stars as opposed to five is that each main charector had his or her own story line until around the last fourty pages. Sure they were intertwined a little, but I would have liked to have seen them together throughout the book. All in all it was a good read.
Fun in the wilderness!.......2000-06-28
Dawson and the gang get sent to wilderness camp by their principal who wants to toughen them up. Lots of funny things happen--Dawson catches a fish with his bare hands. Romance too. Great book.
Review of Tough Enough.......2000-06-20
This was OK, it wasn't the best Dawson's Creek book, but it wasn't bad. It had a very interesting theme. If you like Dawson's Creek you should read this. Overall very nice.
The gang are on a survival course..........2000-05-27
Principal Green decides that sending students on a tough survival course is a GREAT idea. So Dawson, Joey, Pacey, Jen, Andie and Jack set off, with varying amounts of enthuasiasm. But are they tough enough to withstand the demands of the course? As always in the Dawson's Creek books there is the usual romantic entanglements and so on, and in the end everything returns to normal. A good read but not vital.

the best children's book ever.......2005-04-23
I fell in love with this book nearly 20 years ago when my mother read it to me every single night. Yes, the rhymes may seem cheesy and forced, but I still remember most of the book and have very fond memories of reading it. I highly recommend this book as a present or for your own child!
Toddler loves.......2001-12-14
Since my little boy has been 2 he wants this book to read just before bed. The rhyme is sweet and simple, though you should know that the book is very short and the rhymes aren't great..."how many hairs...millions, billions, trillions..." ahhh, a bit ridiculous, but all that matters is my little boy is happy.
THIS IS A WONDEFUL BOOK!.......2000-09-04
MY DAUGHTER LOVES THIS BOOK. THE WORDS ARE SIMPLE, THE PICTURES ARE BEAUTIFUL, AND THE CONCEPT IS ONE ANY CHILD CAN UNDERSTAND. HANNAH HAS ALWAYS BEEN A READER, BUT THIS WAS ONE OF HER FIRST, AND SHE STILL LOVES IT.
Beautiful illustrations!.......2000-04-19
This simple, short book has wonderful, sweet illustrations! It is my 20 month old's favorite... she actually brings it to me AND will sit in my lap withOUT the book and show me all the body parts used in the book. The above review is excellent! I love to give this as a gift. I highly highly recommend it. :)
Excellent snuggle time-sleepy time book for Toddlers.......1998-10-14
This book goes over daily bedtime routine of a mother and her Toddler girl. Babies are encouraged to find their facial body parts, their tummies etc. They see mommy and daughter reading books together and sharing quiet time before bed. Finally baby is tucked into bed with a good night kiss. Our son loves to immitate their actions i.e. pointing to his nose and tummy, mimicking to brush his teeth and lying down in bed etc. It is his favorite bedtime book--even more so than Good night Moon. My husband, day care provider and I highly recommend this classic.
