Book Description
Recorded history is a finely-woven magic fabric of intricate lies about events predating the sixteenth century. There is not a single piece of evidence that can be reliably and independently traced back earlier than the eleventh century. This book details events that are substantiated by hard facts and logic, and validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient sources.

Calculations are only as good as your numbers.......2007-08-03
Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.
Pants on fire?.......2007-07-19
Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.
Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09
There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.
For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.
Very Interesting.......2007-03-07
It is a good proposal and I believe it will mature into something even better in the future. I think it deserves to be read.
History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10
Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.
I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.
Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.
Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.
I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.
This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.

AN EXPOSE OF 'LIBERAL' DECEIT.......2007-07-22
In the genre, perhaps, of an Ann Coulter book, and with the courage to expose the deception of the Hard-Left, this book is a valuable attempt to expose some truth about folks who deal in deceit and deception. In THE THIRTY YEARS' WAR, a recent book by Tom Pauken that likely has not been read as widely as probably it should be, another author tries in another way to expose this same pattern of Hard-Left conduct, pointing out that there is an insiduous continuity to it spanning several decades of recent history. These two books, by authors McGlowan and Pauken, are presented as truth, in non-fiction genre, and the authors and their publishers have shown courage by telling this truth; but another book, presented as fact based fiction, tells more truth about the Hard-Left than either of these books, and reveals a clear and present danger to the well being of freedom and free institutions in America today. That book is entitled THE EMPRESS PROJECT, and it is a book so powerful that even well meaning authors and publishers like the ones who have produced the McGlowan and Pauken books, fear to tread on the ground plowed by its so-called "fictional" account. Readers who want to more fully understand the "Liberal Agenda" should read this book by Angela McGlowan. Readers who want to put the Hard-Lefties and their Liberal Agenda into a more complete historical context shuold read Mr. Pauken's fine book. And readers who want to be warned of a Hard-left plot to overtake America and turn out the lights of freedom and virtue need to read THE EMPRESS PROJECT. The Empress Project
The view from the conservative black versus the liberal blacks.......2007-07-16
I think this is a good read. I have no idea about the history of the parties. It is quite sad to see a lot of the African Americans are completely denied the history of their ancester. I did not know most of the African Americans are Republicans versus Democrats before the civil right movements.
I appaulled Angela who has the courage to say what is not popular amongst her own people. Maybe the African americans should look up to people like her, instead of Charles Barron and Al Sharpton, the race biators to improve their own life and their community.
I think her views are a bit too one sided, if she can pointed out more relevant events that the Republican has done for the African American, I will give her 5 stars
Bamboozled: How Americans are being Exploited by the Lies of the Liberal Agenda.......2007-05-31
Angela McGlowan has presented some referenced facts about the history of conservatism. Unfortunately, the avenues available to market and begin a national dialog are very limited. A great book that everyone should read and use as refernced to draw a point of view or position concerning our government the direction of this country.
Information is true, clear and right-on!.......2007-05-17
Having been born in North Florida in the 50's, having seen the racial turmoil, etc. and the daughter of Democrat parents I can absolutely confirm that the information in this book is very true. I've seen them in action.
I'm a Republican, gladly.
Ms. McGlowan is extremely articulate, and 'right-on' with her observations and information.
Check out the information for yourself Democrats . . . you may be surprised of your parties origins. Or, slightly embarassed.
Thanks Angela for putting the right stuff out there in black and white. No pun intended.
Take a look America at the Agenda of your parties. Then cast your personal vote for what is truly right and not slanted.
Book Description
What does it mean to be white? When you encounter people from other races or ethnicities, you may become suddenly aware that being white means something. Those from other backgrounds may respond to you differently or suspiciously. You may feel ambivalence about your identity as a white person. Or you may feel frustrated when a friend of another ethnicity shakes his head and says, "You just don't get it because you're white."
- So, what does it mean to be white?
- How can you overcome the mistakes of the past?
- How can you build authentic relationships with people from other races and ethnicities?
In this groundbreaking book, Paula Harris and Doug Schaupp present a Christian model of what it means to be white. They wrestle through the history of how those in the majority have oppressed minority cultures, but they also show that whites also have a cultural and ethnic identity with its own distinctive traits and contributions. They demonstrate that white people have a key role to play in the work of racial reconciliation and the forging of a more just society. Filled with real-life stories, life-transforming insights and practical guidance, this book is for you if you are aware of racial inequality but have wondered, So what do I do? Discover here a vision for just communities where whites can partner with and empower those of other ethnicities.
Customer Reviews:
A Good Beginning.......2007-06-06
Harris & Schaupp provide a decent introduction to race relations and multiculturalism in Being White.
Loved it!!.......2007-03-20
As a white woman, I really apreciated this book. It is a great way for white people to dive into the arena of racial reconciliation.
I also loved that it is written by a man and a woman, that doesn't happen very often.
an improbably good book.......2005-11-02
We desperately need this book. Paula and Doug have done the improbable: they've issued a call to whites that is not only comprehensive and specific and scriptural, it is utterly full of both grace and truth. I am grateful for this book both as a missionary who will use it often on college campuses and as a white man wanting to find my place in this wonderfully multiethnic world.
"Challenging and Inspiring".......2005-11-01
"Being White provides testimony that is as challenging as it is inspiring. Unlike the cover illustration that shows a white jigsaw piece at a safe distance from the other interlocking colored pieces, Paula Harris and Douglas Schaupp have placed themselves right in the picture. They each have experience of a crosscultural marriage, and they write from their involvement with people of many ethnicities with candor, humility and discernment. They are prepared to make themselves vulnerable in telling the stories of their struggles and of the rewards of seeing understanding grow, barriers tumble and trust building to the point that relationships are mutually enriching. They challenge their readers to share their experience."
Eddie Gibbs, Professor of Church Growth, School of World Mission, Fuller Theological Seminary
"A wonderful resource".......2005-11-01
"Paula's and Doug's personal stories and practical illustrations challenge us without overwhelming us with unachievable ideals. They advocate humility but never leave us feeling that we have nothing to offer. They exhort us to be responsible in racial healing without burying us in paralyzing guilt.
The authors have presented us white folks with a wonderful resource to help us discover where we 'fit' and how we can grow in the changing ethnic context of our lives."

Book Description
Whether concerned with health, law, ethics, social relations, or relationship with God, religious thought today runs squarely into the question: what does it mean to be human?
Dwight Hopkins, whose important work in Black Theology has mediated classic theological concerns through the prism of African American culture, here offers a fresh take on theological anthropology. Rather than defining "the human" as one eternal or inviolable essence, however, Hopkins looks to the multiple and conflicting notions of the human in contemporary thought, and particularly three key variables: culture, self, and race. What in a traditional framework were seen as "accidents" now take center stage, and Hopkins's critical reframing of these concepts firmly locates human endeavor, development, transcendence, and liberation in the particular messiness of struggle and strife. This major work from a leading black theologian frames the debate about being human in a way that opens rather than closes our self-questioning.
Customer Reviews:
Spirit-filled meditation on what it is to be human.......2006-10-14
In Being Human, Chicago theologian Dwight Hopkins explores what constitutes humanity and the human being as grounded in three realities -- culture, self, and race. Race and the specific experiences of those determined as black prove to be central to Hopkins' account of what the human self is and is called to be. Speaking as a white student of theology, the chapter on race was deeply unsettling, as the author exposes how pervasive racist assumptions and narratives are in even the most reflective and philosophical discourses in European culture. Quotations from heavyweights of the Enlightenment paint a disturbing and challenging picture of white refusal to participate in a unified human family.
These reflections on the categories of culture, self, and race take up much of the book and are followed by thirty rich pages that finally develop, with the aid of black folktales, a theological anthropology centered on care for and service of the poor. In Hopkins' forceful argument, failing in faithfulness to the downtrodden represents a fundamental break with what God has ordained humanity to be -- no other concerns can supersede this fundamental attribute of humanness.
Being Human has poweful things to say to a church that continues in many ways to deny the full humanity of its brothers and sisters of color. It also speaks prophetically to the material condition of all poor and working class people, whom God wishes to participate fully and equally in the Kingdom. Very highly recommended.
Book Description
Are biological evolution and human history directed by a hierarchy of Intelligences, the lowest level of which makes physical contact with mankind? Do invisible guardians of this planet "seed" ideas into the earth's culture to prepare human beings for huge steps in their development? The author suggests not only that it may be so, but that it may also be possible to recognize these "People of the Secret."
Customer Reviews:
A theory of the origin of knowledge.......2007-04-04
This book is for anyone seeking a more coherent theory as to the history of humanity, and particularly epistemological research. Many people are searching for a more palpable reason for human existence. In this book are keys to unraveling the mysteries of existence. Splendid, courageous and well written! Ernest Scott has provided the much needed data to induce the desire for further research, the re-writing of history as the common man knows it, and new views of human eschatology.
The People of the Secret.......2005-07-21
The author accomplished an incredible amount of research and documentation for this book. Anyone interested in metaphysics, the occult, history, pyramidology, egytology, Alchemy....etc...etc....will find this book impossible to put down!
This book is a jolt out of the nightmare that is History.......2005-04-11
That there are things in history that don't fall in line or don't fit a specific pattern is common knowledge. That there are many unexplained similarities in history is also common knowledge. However, so far there has not been any explication as to 'why'
This book by Ernst Scott with great clarity that there is a `why'. There is an undercurrent of knowledge that has been responsible for shaping many important moments in the history of the human race. By knowledge I don't just mean the quotidian knowledge. The knowledge referred to here is that which can raise the human consciousness to its highest potentialities.
Ernst Scott first carefully makes the case for this knowledge. Then in great detail shows its operation in history. Then Mr. Scott starts to make a case for the "People of the Secret" - the people who possess this knowledge and have been responsible for systematically injecting this into the realm of human affairs.
Whether or not one believes in or accepts Mr. Scott's final conclusion over the course of reading this book serious doubts will be cast on the history we were taught on our elementary and high school benches. If what James Joyce said is true, and History is that nightmare we are trying to awake from, then this book is a strong jolt that may start to rouse us out of that deep sleep of ages. If after reading this book one is curious or further intrigue or would like to learn more, I would recommend, The Sufis and The Way of the Sufi by Idries Shah.
Thanks
History is not what it seems.......2001-09-03
This is a very strange book indeed. It challenges all the established notions of the causes of historical events. It does not read like a cultist account. After reading it I think anyone will find his thoughts about the nature of history will change, even if he thinks all or most of the contents are nonsense.
Clearly the author has been closely associated with the modern expressions of the Sufi tradition.
The references within the text give the reader links to much other material and show signs of genuine scholarship - quite different from the run of the mill cultist books which fill the shelves of so many bookshops.
Among the topics which the western reader may find startling are thoughts about the origins of western science, Shakespear, much of western literature and its relation to what is often thought of as 'eastern' literature. Even the current decline of religion and the rise of drug taking are mentioned as being possibly the results of causes quite unsuspected by the average person.
I have been reading this book since it was first published in 1983 and still find new thoughts in it.
Thoughts among some facts.......2001-07-19
The author has written based on some historical facts and his arguments supported by an objective perspective. Despite of the fact there are many possible ways of things have taken place he made them exposed rather than hidden therefore it was pretty clear that we were talking about possibilities. He also demonstrated a huge knowledge about many and diverse subjects and that's why he look so reasoned. I recommend to anyone who has some interest in a big picture of some current and old theories about human history. It gives you an opportunity to rethink your position and just that makes it worth. We cannot afford to take our western scientific way of thinking as the only way to explain a world of experiences.
Customer Reviews:
Is there a God? as a Goedel sentence........1999-08-29
A fascinating book. I got a copy when it first came out (I was looking for a replacement today) and have re-read it several times. I hope it's not too much of a spoiler to say that it shows, among other things, that there is no experiment that could distringuish whether or not there is a God without that God's intention to be experimentally verifiable. This has implications to both epistomology and theology that I think have never been properly explored: it means that the question is not just one that has never been settled scientifically, it is one which _cannot_ under any circumstances be settled scientifically.
I can only fault it in assuming a bit too much background for the most likely reader -- but certainly not anything that a serious reader cannot overcome.
A philosophical must for technically-minded atheists, agnostics, and for believers.
