I feel that the price guide was very badly placed, it is in the back of the book. The listings of the cars were in alphabetical order to some extent. I prefer the prices to be right under their corresponding cars.
A must need book for serious Hot Wheels collectors.......1999-11-21
I came across this book while shopping at my local bookstore, I started looking through it, and without a moments hesitation, I knew I needed this book. It is very good as a refrence book, also for giving me information on my collection. Very well done book.
Poorly organized and difficult to use.......1999-08-07
Due to the organization of this book it is extremely hard to locate any particular diecast unless you have the diecast number or item name or designation. Photos are very small and indistinct making it hard to identify items. It appears that not all diecasts produced are listed in the yearly listings nor are all photos shown. Overall rating on this publication is 2 stars or less!

Parker's Hot Wheels book tops Tomart's.......1997-09-30
I have been collecting Hot Wheels cars since they first came out back in the fall of 1967. I was just a 9 year old youngster at the time, but I can still remember the excitement of seeing a new car, or a different color on the pegs at the WoolWorths store in downtown New Britain. I would save as much of my allowance, and also any money I had earned by helping my neighbor's take in the groceries, so that I could get a new Hot Wheel, the next time my friends and I took our weekly trek downtown.
Now that I am in my late 30's, I have every single book ever printed about collecting Hot Wheels. I have read all of them from cover to cover at least twice. I can say with certainty that Bob Parkers books are a much better resource for the serious Hot Wheels collector, than all of the others combined. I am not saying that I do not use the other books, such as Tomarts, and some of the other literature written by Strauss, but when I want accurate information, I always reach for Parkers books. I have found too many errors and inaccuracies in Mike Strauss' books, that I can just not rely on them for any serious information. I use the Tomarts mainly to aid in identifying some Hot Wheels via the photographs. I use the Parkers books to answer some of the more detailed questions that I get from collectors that visit my web site, The Virtual Hot Wheels Collection. (http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/5820)
I am currently waiting for Mr. Parkers latest book, which I just ordered from Amazon.com today. Look for my review of his latest work about 2 months after I receive it. If his newest book is even half as good as his previous books, we are all in for a real wealth of important information and data on the hobby of collecting Hot Wheels.

Though limited in the content there are quite a number of excellent pictures of different models. As a newcomer to the hobby it greatly helped in my learning. There is an excellent list of variations with prices, however they are a little outdated. Good as a starting point.

Quick and Easy Reference Book.......2007-10-06
I have been looking for a book like this for a while. I find most books with information on spec sheet writing complicated and unorganized; not this one, this book separates garments into different chapters such as how to spec a blazer, pant and shorts, a vest, a turtleneck, etc. A simple glance at the glossary and I am able to quickly find the category of clothing I need to build a spec sheet for and have all the information neatly presented in bulletin style with clearly drawn samples of flats indicating how to correctly measure the garment, which is invaluable since so many books tend to assume the reader already knows how to establish measuring points. There is also a handy basic spec sheet template included for every category.
Easy to read and easy to learn --this is one book I am keeping around for a long time.

A comprehensive, user-friendly guide to the skills and techniques for measuring garments and creating spec sheets. It's an excellent resource book which provides the fundamentals for building, developing, streamlining your flats and specs library. It's a neat and concise reference book you would find so useful that would like to own and keep at hand at all times. Furthermore, the enclosed CD-ROM makes it even more versatile for it offers you the possibility to save, send, print, alter (and carry!) all the information. I find it extremely helpful.

This is vol 1 of a 2-vol work that takes the guess work out of estimating, designing, and planning a construction project. Whether building as a tradesman or contractor--or even as someone such as a homeowner wishing to contract the building of his house, this book is a must. I have been in the construction business for years and these two books are a must in my office and in my truck. I require all my key personnel to study them, a policy that saves money, time, and eliminates guesswork. On a scale of 1-10, I rate both a 10!

This book gets to the point with the basics showing how to do a job in detail with clear, concise instructions and drawings showing details that ensures professional performance. A must for a builder or tradesman engaged in the construction trades. I wouldn't start a job without it and I've been in the construction business for a good man years.

This is an excellent book for anyone wanting to build and contract their own home or for experianced builders who need a nononsense resource to contracting and home building. I have used this book and Vol 1 or many years and it has been nothing short of a time and money saver.
