First of all, I HATE the BIG UGLY picture of American Car Racer...do not know his name, on the cover of the book. Second, I hate NASCAR and Cheap political HOT WHEEL junk I do not even care for looking at. The book should focus on HIGH QUALITY COLLECTIBLE BRANDS ONLY. What a waste of paper~!!!

Folks, let's make this nice and simple, Beckett Price Guides are the most accepted price guides in the world PERIOD No other racing price guide even comes close to the popularity of Beckett. Collectors the WORLD over look enthusiastically for each new Beckett release. As for this book, I dare say you will not find another publication that covers its listings in greater detail. This book lists thousands of cards and hundreds of die-cast car values. With the card listings, many sets are given a value along with vital information about each one. Then many sets are broken down into listings for each individual card and a value placed on each card. There's listings for vintage sets as well as some of the more popular ones. Photos are included as well as special notations about things like error cards, rare subsets and the like. This guide will be a big help to anyone interested in the racing hobby. Beckett guides are the ONLY ones I currently use.
Outdated Price Guide.......1999-06-15
Soon after the release of the Beckett Racing Price Guide, the Beckett Racing & Motorsports Marketplace monthly magazine drastically reduced the book value of most trading cards. In doing so, Beckett rendered their own Beckett Racing Price Guide useless. The racing trading card enthusiast would be better off subscribing to the monthly magazine.

Dr. Beckett has done it again! The Beckett Racing Guide #3 is a must for all Racing and Die-cast collectors. The book has listings by card and die-cast manufactors, by years and has a alphbetical listing for all of the drivers. As a card collector I rate this book very high because it is very imporant to know the card number, year printed and it gives two price listings on the condition of the card. A+++

The book itself is excellent, very comprehensive in it's coverage. It covers many, many years of collector cards. The diecast section is a must have, particularly for pricing the older diecast and the newest up to about March or April 2007.
I received the book in mint condition, still in the factory plastic wrap.

This book is a recent publishing success of an experienced author, Professor Knapp, and comprises part of his series on Chinese traditional and modern architecture. It offers a wealth of new information and illustrative material (photographs and drawings), based on original research conducted predominantly throughout the eastern and south-eastern coast of the Chinese mainland and in Taiwan. The publication is well-arranged into two main sections which are further sub-divided into separate parts; the sub-chapter titles speak for themselves - please consult the table of contents. Some concrete examples of still-living traditional ritual folk practices are examined, as well as translations of ritual chants which are analyzed in detail. As for me, this is the most interesting part of the first section. The second major part of the book, Section II, "In Pursuit of Good Fortune" (pp. 79-171), consists of very interesting four essays dealing with concrete Chinese efforts to attract good fortune, longevity, wealth, health, business success and other desirable qualities to the house and house owner's family. The authors directs our attention to various manifestations of this eternal Chinese desire for happiness; he also gives us a comprehensive overview of various methods of how to obtain it. As he rightly stresses, the majority of traditional building ornamentation is "positively" determinated, i.e. it is meant to summon good things, and only a minority is directed toward warding off evil spirits. Many pages are dedicated to the so-called New Year pictures, prints, papercuts, calligraphy and the other forms of folk art, all of which employ metaphor, allegory, and word-play, based on the homophony of the Chinese language and the structural principles of its written form. It must be stressed that all parts of the text are informative and well documented. Worth mentioning as well is the fact that the Chinese characters are typed directly in the text, which is clearly organized and thus very useful for Sinologists. To sum up, the book is warmly recommended to all students of Chinese architecture, folklore and living traditions, as well as to all of you who make plans for visiting China, especially Chinese coastal regions.

This book helped me understand the way to help a teen. This is a great book for parents who want to get their child some psychologicical help, when they don't want to be helped. It helps with understanding how to talk to your depressed teen in a way where you can communicate instead of fight.
