Quick, but not complete........2007-01-06

this book was nice to get you started with a parakeet, but I needed more information about behaviors after the first few weeks. It is very informative about the subjects included, but I think I will buy another book with more complete information.

If you're interested in architectural history and Nantucket or American architecture of New England, then you'll want to read and keep this meticulously researched book that is both a good read and informative. Also, it contains beautiful photographs of Nantucket's most important homes. Kudos to the authors and photographer!

In this book, Ms. Barras, a writer of opinion columns, has produced an extremely long opinion column dressed up as a "book". Her reporting is shallow, and her description of the 1994 mayoral campaign is inaccurate and woefully incomplete.
