Vets as well as owners of either ferrets or rabbits will appreciate this concise guide for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases in either. A series of formatted topics address all common conditions, covering diagnosis, treatment and medication and listing topics alphabetically for quick consultation. Each condition receives an overview of the basics, diagnostic procedures, treatment options, and medications. While it's technical enough for a vet's office, owners will find it equally valuable.

I aleardy own several books with basic quilt patterns but after leafing through this one in the store, I had to have it. The colors are so beautiful. I am a big fan of the Jean Wells and Valori Wells and this book features many quilts using their fabrics and unique color style. The book also showcases some great techniques.

Not the beginner book promised.......2004-07-21
This book has lots of lovely pictures and what look like complete directions. BUT I bought this book because the reviews all said what a great book it was for beginners. As a beginner I have to say that there are *so* many details missing that I do not find that it gives me what I need to actually start applique work. I wish it did!
I am disappointed, although once I actually figure out what I am doing with applique work, maybe I will find it a valuable resource. In the mean time, I am still looking for a good starter book.

I have been doing applique for quite a while, but still find this book to be an invaluable tool. The visual's are complete and beautifully photographed, and the directions are clear and conscise. It has inspired me to use methods of applique other than the ones I've grown "comfortable" with. Everyone from beginner to expert will find this book useful.

If I could have only one book on applique, this would be the one. Every question I've ever had on every technique is clearly answered and beautifully photographed. When I don't understand what another book presents, or I'm having trouble with a technique, I come back to this book.

This book was a wonderful surprise. I thought I was getting just a book on color, but this contains everything you need to know about piecing, applique, setting blocks, borders, binding, quilting, and more. And it has an entire section on color selection. It is easy to follow and very well diagrammed. I use this book 3-4 times a week.

I bought this book as a beginning quilter trying to read as much as I could about all aspects of quilting including color. To my surprise this book turned out to be one that, as people who read good novels say, " I couldn't put it down!" type of book. It's full of information and tips that you want to highlight constantly....and not just about color. A very good sampling of the important aspects of quilting and color written in an understandable AND enjoyable way....very encouraging.

Great resource book.......2000-06-03
I think this is a great book. I just started quilting and it has answered all my questions so far. It doesn't have any patterns, so you have to start with your own. It explains each step of the way from picking fabrics and how to cut them to the finishing touches. It also shows you how to hand quilt or machine quilt which is nice. Throughout the book there are lots of tips and shortcuts (which is especially nice for novices like me).

I am pleased this text was selected for my graduate level course in Counselor Education. As an elementary School Counselor, I am involved with a diversity of issues. Counseling Children and Adolescents is a comprehensive manual offering intervention techniques and developmentally appropriate strategies to address problems of children. It is an easy to read book with an abundance of valuable information. I found very useful the information on brief therapy, family counseling, and working with exceptionalities. This text will be among the first I seek whenever confronted with a challenging behavioral problem. The practical nature of this book makes it a must have for beginning and experienced counselors.
