Waldorf goodness..........2007-08-14
I have been wondering about Waldorf education for some time. I feel that this book is a great intro. Easy to read, and full of information. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking into Waldorf.

A very good "first" Waldorf book for a parent who is just beginning to explore the philosophies underlying this educational & lifestyle movement. Highly recommended. Much of the book is in question-and-answer format.

This is such an easy to read and pleasant book. It is very non-threatening and easy to understand. It has a very well organized format. Highly recommeded!
Enlightening..........2005-09-22
I think this book is very insightful in alternative ways of parenting. It makes you stand back a minute and think of how your child might percieve our parental actions. Often it is hard for an adult to see through the eyes of a child. This helps a bit. It is not something that you need to strictly adhere to, they are ideas that you may try to incorporate into your style of parenting. Whether you are going the Waldorf route or not, I think many parents can gather insight about parenting from this...(A side note to the tub cleaning reviewer - try biodegradable cleaning products or give your son a bucket full of soapy water and a sponge, or a spray bottle filled with plain water, he doesn't need to know that he doesn't have the same cleaning solution that you do...it's the fact that he wants to clean with you...someday he won't want to do all these things with you...and you'll fondly look back on the times that he did - that we all need to remember.)

Very short to be called a "book".......2007-03-31
Potential buyers should consider the size of this volume compared to the price. It's 20 pages, but most of each page is an illustration - the text itself would fit on 1/2 of a single page. It's closer to being an extended greeting card (or sympathy card) than a book. It's a beautiful story, as others here have written.

This book tells the beautiful and heartwarming story of Rainbow Bridge, a place where we will one day be reunited with our beloved pets. His story provides comfort during those challenging times of loss. His story turns sadness into hope. It's a must read for anyone with pets and a touching story to help adults and children cope with sadness and loss.

Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special frirends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. Really, really helped.......2007-01-28
This is one of the few books that helped pull me through. Others were very religious or didn't reach the part that I needed to start healing. This book was compassionate and did everything I needed to start my healing process. It supports your grief and allows you to grieve and then helps you start your healing process. It's absolutely amazing. The journals, the memorial cards, and the book are all sensational.
Animal Companion Memorial Kit.......2006-04-07
I recently lost my little dog, Toby, through an animal attack. I have been devastated. Toby was my heart. In the local bookstore I asked if she had anything on pet loss and she showed me this book. I read it through and found so much comfort. No where else had I come across such inspirational material with regards to our beloved animal friends. I wrote his name an the cards, and reread the book. The journal was enormously helpful and I wrote the things about him I didn't want to forget . From there I made a small scrap book, using the paragraphs I'd written in the journal.
I wouldn't find the need to do this with all my animal companions, but Toby was a special friend, and this kit helped me a great deal towards the beginnings of healing.

Excellent book.......2006-06-13
I discovered this book when I was struggling with the decision to have my 23 year old horse put down. I read it, teary eyed, from cover to cover the night I received it. This book allowed me to see that the feelings I was having were perfectly normal and I was not alone. It also helped me to learn what to expect when the time came. I would like to thank Kimberly Gatto for taking the time to write this book. It was very much needed.
