We are about ready to get our first puppy in 10days. Friends of ours went out and bought us this book.They has also used it on their puppy but a different breed. i found it very useful and simple to understand. We will find out helpful it was in 10days. I would get it for a 1st time user.

Out of my entire collection of herb books, I would recommend THIS book to anyone who has the slightest interest in herbs, flowers, gardening, oils, and/or cooking. This book provides absolutely gorgeous pictures, an abundant variety of ideas/gifts, yummy and unique recipes, excellent herbal descriptions, and an appealing selection of mixtures. What a refreshing difference in my entire book collection! It would make an excellent gift for that "hard to buy for" person; great for a thank-you, love gesture, birthday, or any occasion. I have opened it numerous times, with always a sense of relaxation and happiness. I love it today as much as the day I opened it for the first time. My only regret: that there isn't a volume 2 but I guess you can't improve on what's already great. Thank you.

This is an absolutely gorgeous book, loaded with pictures that make me want to quit my job and get a greenhouse in the country and grow beautiful herbs and flowers. This book covers a wide range of topics for each aromatic group, ranging from perfumes, to garden designs, to recipes. It is practical as well as it is beautiful. This is one of my favorite garden/herb picture books, in fact it is one of my favorite picture books, period.

The English perfumier Crabtree & Evelyn "nose" (knows) about the power of scent. It was kind of cute. I found the Clifford's Noisy Day to be a bit more educational but this is a nice book.

I have purchased 6 of the "Small Red Puppy" board books for my son and we enjoy all of them. My son really likes Clifford's Bathtime because he loves rubber ducks and their are several pictures of them in this book. Speaking of pictures, the artwork in this book is great for toddlers--large, bright pictures of familiar objects which parents and caregivers can use to encourage vocabulary development. This book also contains (on average) about 1 sentence per page. I like that since my son is not yet a patient reader and wants to flip the page sometimes before we are finished reading it. The length of the book is perfect. Not too long for a toddler. There is even a bit of suspense to this story line when Clifford falls off of his bar of soap!

my daughter is taking Spanish in Kindergarten & they are using this book as part of her curriculum. It is very useful & fun ! I bought one so we would have a copy at home for her to look at anytime she wants.

I would recommend this to Spanish and English speakers alike. The photos are bright and self explanitory. Having learned Spanish as a second language, I can now speak more easily with my children about bathtime in Spanish.
